I'm not sure if any of you guys saw it, but yesterday's Martha Stewart show featured destination weddings, and she showed samples of the different packages you can order at Sandals! It was a good episode, and it is being rerun in my area tomorrow at 8am, so you may want to check your local listings and tune in. She also has tips for wedding undergarments and hairstyles that will hold up in the heat.

Yah Martha's new packages are a bit steep in price the cheapeast one is

$1800 and can go up to $6000 or $6500. Im not thrilled. They look nice but.. you may like one thing in one package and one thing from another. And you cant mix and match. SO it sort of stinks. And they dont know if they are going to do anythign a la carte which is a huge bummer! I think it would be awesome if you could choose one thing that you really like. JMO!

Thanks for the info. I wont be home to see the show but I will check out the magazine.Amber just sent me photos of some flowers in my color so it appears that they are allowing some a la carte stuff.

I will need to confirm how much they all cost though.

I am going to get it all in writing as the costs seem to change with each phone conversation.

every phone call changes EVERYTHING! Its making me nuts! My WC in Miami for T&C beaches is insisting that nothing is a la carte and maybe in Negril but that doesnt mean T&C will!! Its like they are all the same company how does that work?! I think my best bet will be to find out when I meet with the wedding planner in Turks.

I think you should keep insisting.

You had booked your wedding before MArtha came onboard and they should honor your requests.

I think they will change anyway the more brides insist and argue.

Its our day, and we have had visions of they way we want things to look for quite a while. They CANNOT insist that we get married in pink, green etc in the martha collections. I really think theyll change before your wedding. People like me will make sure that the a l carte options are inluded.

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
