My DH and I had so much fun trying all the foods my BDW friends had recommended to me before we left, that I thought it would be so fun to start a thread with all our favorite dishes at dreams, like how Ana told me about the tortilla soup and I ordered almost every day and Tammy about the mahi mahi poolside.

 

So here is mine:

Hitmatsu:

fave-tempura anything

 

Oceana-this is hard all of the dishes were good, never a complaint

fave-mahi mahi with mushrooms, shrimp tortilla soup, surf and turf part 2 (prosciutto wrapped scallop)- trick they will add this to other entrees if you ask.

 

Portofino-

fave- tuna steak with ginger sauce

 

Seaside grille-dinner

fave- 10 oz rib eye and grilled provolone

 

seaside grill lunch

fave- fish fingers, ranchero sandwich, chicken nachos

 

El Patio-love the omelets station and chilequilles

 

Room Service:

fave- tortilla soup, all the goodies are in one bowl and then the delish broth in a separate cauldron, so when it arrives you can mix them together yourself and nothing is soggy

wooo good thread Erika!! this is going to put me in mood for Dreams again in a few months Here are my faves:

 

Hitmatsu:

all sushi mmmmm

 

Oceana:

Fish tacos, yummm and surf and turf....oh it was amazing!

 

Portofino-

tomato soup and the tomato and mozarella salad

 

Seaside grille-dinner

steak...can't remember which hehe

 

seaside grill lunch:

nachos and guac, I ate this every day! tortilla soup if they had it.

 

El Patio:

Omlete station with extra guac and hot sauce and the breakfast buffet

 

Room Service:

pizza

 

 

I ate tortilla soup every chance I got! it was amazing...so whichever restaurant had it that day I ordered it...and I had guac with every meal lol

 

Dreams food was so delicious, I really can't wait to go back...and I'm going to have to try the cheeseburgers (room service) this time as per Heather's suggestion.

My faves were:

 

Chips and guac (obviously)

Margherita pizza at the poolside restaurant for lunch

Creamy tomato soup and caprese salad at Portofino - also the cheese tortellini

Pancakes for breakfast!

Fish tacos served poolside

 

El patio for breakfast: omelette bar, chilequiles, refried beans, this puff pastry from the pastry station.

 

Steak with this red sauce from portofino

 

Tempura from himitsu was good as well as these fried dunplings.

 

Nacho bar at seaside grill for lunch. I would get these as my midday snack.

 

BLT from room service.

 

If you see the chocolate mousse anywhere GET IT!!

 

The fish is super fresh at oceana and everyone always loved their dinner there so no specifics off the top of my head.

 

Now I am def going to need to try tortilla soup.

I wish I was back already and I have only been gone for 1 week.

Tammy I totally forgot about the amazing refried beans! yummm!!! they were the only thing I could swallow on my wedding day haha

OMG! Everything sounds delicious. I can't wait to try it all! 17 days and counting!
