I wasn't thrilled with my flowers because I didn't get the bouquet I requested, BUT it WAS still pink and orange. LOL

I used plain white cake boxes and bought a bunch of different scrap book paper. I cut them to fit the boxes and printed my monogram on a nice thick paper. Glued those on top. Really inexpensive!

And in action... lol

Menus-

Orange and fushia cardstock. Printed on the same ivory, shimmery paper as the cake boxes and secured with a brown brad just for a fun detail.

Programs constructed the same way:

I will try to see if I can find the template for these. Naturally the monogram can't be used, but the orange flower design at the bottom can be used if anyone is interested.

Thank you tags that I attached to mini tequila bottles with rafia for the men and wrapped ribbon around pashminas for the ladies with these on top.

Used a thank you stamp on the other side.

Sorry no pic in action... I bought the tequila in MX and constructed in our hotel room prior to the wedding. I actually forgot the pashminas in my room so the ladies didn't get them til the day after the wedding. OOPS! See... even with years of planning things can still get messed up. Just gotta roll with it.
I LOVE your programs and menus! Those are the same colors I'm doing and the border pattern actually matches my BM dresses perfectly. And to top it off my monogram is an M too.
Can you send me your template so I can copy? Can you also send instructions (very detailed if possible)? I am a total retard when it comes to anything remotely crafty.

I don't think I have the template anymore. sad.gif I have a new computer and I thought I had it somewhere but I don't think I do. However, just as a heads up, it's a ban-able offense to ask for templates to be emailed (or even for me to send them.) You have to have 150 posts to download templates from the forum.

However, I bought my monogram from Sarah Sproullie from Sproullie Designs. Sproullie Designs

I don't know if she does monograms anymore since this is back when her business was first starting. Do a forum search on monograms and you should be able to find others to purchase them from.

I then took my monogram and pasted it in a word document and created a border around it and cut it out for the thank you tags and cake boxes. I then just glued them to card stock. Super easy and isn't too difficult work on the computer.

For the programs, I made this in word too. Just pasted the monogram at the top and typed out all the info and pasted the clip art at the bottom. Cut them out and pasted on card stock. Then I used brads (can be found in craft stores) for just an added detail. I will look on my work computer for the poppy flower design if you are still interested. However, I can't email it to you, but when you get 150 posts you can come back. :)

ETA: I just remembered I'm about 98% positive I posted the templates somewhere on the forum... I will do a search and see if I can find it.

I did post them here: http://bestdestinationwedding.com/fo...program-16710/

Plus other ideas if something else strikes your fancy!

I found these cute straw bags at Target for $2.50. The lining is orange and fuchsia. One has polka dots and the other has flamingos printed on the lining. I thought they would be great for OOT bags!

I'd post a picture if I could but that just seems way too complicated now.

WOW! I am sooo happy I found this thread! I want to have like a bright tropical orange with chocolate brown with a slight touch of pink... :) Has anyone seen really bright orange BM dresses?

I'm thinking they could hold white and pink flowers. Then I could be holding a bouquet of either just orange flowers or an array of orange, white and pink!! perfect.

Does anyone of pictures of Orange and Brown??

Thanks!!

Those are my colours as well. I think my BM are going to wear a cantelope colour or choc brown. The guys are wear beige linen pants and choc brown shirts. Groom wearing a white or ivory shirt. And I am pretty sure I will be wearing ivory. My flowers are going to be orange and fushia gerbers and orange asiatic lilies. (I think lol).

Have you checked out David Bridals they have a large selection of orange dresses.

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
