Hey Ladies,

Just saw that there was a reply on here (I've been slacking off on the wedding planning!). Anyways, Nicole - your website is great! Ours isn't quite as robust as yours, as we're kind of posting information as we have it - as well as doing a lot of phone/in person convos. Here it is: Krystle & Brian's Wedding!

We're not doing a site visit or anything, just relying on our gut feeling that Casa Romero is the right site for us. We are using Jen - actually spoke with her briefly today and then got pulled away by work. She's awesome so far, has great ideas, and seems to be pretty accommodating in terms of pricing.

The only piece I keep forgetting to ask her about is about getting hair done - do you know if she knows anyone? Originally my at home hairdresser was goign to teach my mom how to do it, but my mom is a little worried that she won't be able to pull it off :)

How's your planning going so far? We have a lot of the big decisions made (obviously location, I have my dress, bridesmaid dresses are picked, colors are picked, photographer chosen, rehersal dinner loaction chosen) - still working on some stuff for folks to do while in Mexico. One awesome thing that we are doing (we're not makign everyone come along, but who ever wants to - nice and casual) is going cenote diving. I completely recommend looking into it if you or anyone that is comign with you is into diving at all.

Anyways, best of luck to you in your planning... so glad there's another casa romero bride on here :)

Hey ladies!! Just got back from Akumal last night, and I can definitely reinforce what MarieSam has been saying all along - Akumal is absolutely amazing!! Although the sun didn't shine as much as i had hoped, we got alot done!!

We are getting married at Las Villas Akumal, and i feel so much better knowing we've made the right decision. We did get to visit Yal-Ku lagoo, and I saw Casa Romero from the outside and it looks amazing, though I'm sure MarieSam can tell you more about it. Now I'm just hoping the next four months pass quickly!!!

Ladies!! Jasin and I are headed to Akumal on Wednesday. My friend will be doing my hair, so I didn't ask about that, but I am sure Jen knows someone in town. We were not planning on doing a site visit, but this last minute trip should prove useful for planning, and also offer some much needed relaxation. The weather doesn't look too promising, but it's better than Chicago! my email address is [email protected] in case you lovely ladies need me to check something for you.

I have a trip report from my visit last month. We'll be going back in only 2 weeks for our wedding! Cannot believe it's come this quickly!! Chelsea Rose, you are right behind us. Do you have everything set? I still have not chosen flowers, cake, favors, table numbers, music etc... I am such a slacker. I hope it all works out!

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
