Passport Question

Recommended Posts

Did anyone just recently apply for their passport and plan on going to Mexico to visit within the next month or so (taking advantage of the no passport-only have to show your passport application)?

I am planning on applying for the passport this weekend but would really like to look into flying down to Cabo in the next month or so to check some things out. I just didn't know how they would react to that. I guess on the passport application I can but I plan to travel in the next month....

Yes, i think you can just show your passport application.
I am a WC in Cancun & Riviera Maya and last week I had one of the witness with a printed paper (assport application) because he had to fly before and his passport was not ready...

I do not know if that was your question...!! oops.gif

Good luck and better to ask them!!

Morgan,

I haven't found out yet, we are getting up early tomorrow and heading to the post office. I will ask them and then let you know tomorrow!!

I am guessing it should be okay because they didn't specifically specify otherwise...

Let's hope!! :)

This is probably true. At the last minute, my grandpa couldn't go because my grandma is sick. My aunt was going to take her place, and went to apply the Monday before we left on Saturday, and they told her it was too late because she wouldn't be in the system.

P.S. If you use that form that says you applied, DO NOT FORGET YOUR BIRTH CERTIFICATE!!! My brother's girlfriend and 2-month old had to go home from the airport and fly the next day, because they didn't bring the baby's birth certificate!!! Good thing my aunt and uncle were flying out the next day, so Katie and the baby went with them.

Okay this isn't good about the birth certificate because they physically took our birth certificates when we applied for our passports so we won't be able to bring them with us if we chose to travel soon....

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
