Las Caletas Couples ~ POST HERE!!! (**All LC Brides...PLEASE READ 1st post, red text)

I must have wedding fever again or I'm insane in the membrane, but I just caught up with this thread. Not sure why I never noticed before that it's a new one! lol I just thought Ann pruned up the old one.

Ann- I'm PMing you my review link and pictures. Unfortunately, my way of sharing pics kinda sucks because shutterfly reduces the quality so much and I really didn't upload a ton. However, our wedding is on the 2nd page of Elizabeth Lloyd's website- ELIZABETH LLOYD - Photographer Rachel and Steve

Oh and I'm totally jealous of all the added options for weddings now. I wanted chair ties, but they didn't provide them. So I was going to buy some but well--- I sucked at planning my wedding! Now if I could only go back and do it again. Gladly accepting donations. wink.gif

Hello Ladies!

I just took a little four day vacation to Puerto Vallarta with Brandon... so much fun! We stayed at a cute little boutique hotel in the Zona Romantica called Casa Dona Susana ($67 per night for the Jr. Suite). Here's the website: Casa Doña Susana They have an all-inclusive option for $20 or so more per day but we didn't go for it because we wanted to experience the local cuisine and go to different restaurants each day.

We did the Outdoor Adventure with Vallarta Adventures, went scuba diving with Chico's Dive Shop and took some "engagement" photos with Eva and Toms at Photo Shoots in Puerto Vallarta, Mexico (VERY affordable- $180 for one hour, $250 for two hours).

We intentionally didn't go to Las Caletas because we wanted to save that for our wedding day! I can't wait to go back 5 months for our wedding!

Hi! Did you hire Tom & Eva to photograph your wedding too? My sister has booked them for her LC wedding in October and I was just wondering what your exerience was working with them for your Engagement shoot. Eva is super nice and responsive though email, but I wanted to know what you thought of actually working with them, and how you liked the pictures. Any feedback would be great!!!

I don't know if this question ever got answered, but Kelley told me that in order to go out in the morning:

"Then, the package includes for you and 4 girls to go out in the morning. Any extra girls have an additional cost of $76.50 per person. Spa prices are $25 usd for a half an hour massage and $50 usd for an hour massage."

My wedding is 5/29/11, so if it is around that time maybe it will be the same price.

That sounds awesome, let us know how the photos turn out! How was Doña Susana? Was it on the beach? Did you get to go to Playa Los Arcos also?

I have found a lot of "coming in on the boat" and "ceremony" pictures but I have sifted through tons of slidesshows and cannot remember who had the most RECEPTION pictures. I am needing these pictures to help convince my family and fiance that LC is absolutely beautiful and worth the effort! Can anyone help? Does anyone still have the link to the old thread that had all the picture links on it? Or does anyone have any reception pictures that they could email me? Any help would be GREAT!! thanks everyone! And BAREFOOTBRIDE cannot wait to see your pics and hear more about it! Congrats and welcome back!!!

also - Ms. Havisu.... we are dying for your pictures still!!

Thanks everyone!

Look at this slideshow of Lindsey and Matt from the Adventure wedding photographer.....I think it has a lot of pictures of the reception and the boat party back (hilarious!) and of course has beautiful pictures of the ceremony, getting ready, etc. The reception/boat ride are near the end but its a nice slideshow....

Hi Everyone. I just wanted to ask a couple of questions.....All Sunday's are booked for LC, so I'm having to pick a Wednesday. Did anyone else have a day other than Sunday for their ceremony and did they select the Day or Evening tour for their guets? I've thought about taking the gals over for the day/night and having the men come over for the evening? I really wanted to have something private and note with other guests. Any feedback would be welcomed. Right now, I'm thinking NOvember 3, 2010. The only day they have open!

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
