Las Caletas Couples ~ POST HERE!!! (**All LC Brides...PLEASE READ 1st post, red text)

Totally go early! It's nice to relax and have some quiet moments to prepare yourself. Plus I would think it would be rushed coming over with the guests. I remember during my wedding, they ran late and so when the boat docked, they rushed all the guests quickly off and to the ceremony site to start ASAP. I was thankful I had my DH (FI at the time!) with me there early, because we had originally planned on having them change at arrival. I don't think they would have much time with those original plans. Sometimes the boats run late... so just keep that in mind. :)

As for bugs, I didn't realize that that was even a concern! I don't think I saw one, which now that I think about it- it's kind of odd since it's all jungley. I would pack some just in case, but I highly doubt you would have to use it. Maybe they have seasonal hatches or something.

I wish I could comment on packages, but it's all different from when I was married.

we didn't have any problem with bugs at all. however i think it was spider mating season or something because apparently the spiders were out, but i saw one, and that is it.

i did, however, get ants stuck in the bottom tulle of my dress. (bottom couple inches) which i found totally hilarious. they were my little party crashers!

i have no idea about the packages now. they are different from when i got married. however, i would highly higly recommend going over in the morning with your girls. we had such a great time and it was the perfect way to start the wedding day. oh and we didn't plan anything, we just relaxed on the beach and swam and drank some beer. it was PERFECT

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
