Las Caletas Couples ~ POST HERE!!! (**All LC Brides...PLEASE READ 1st post, red text)

I was just going through the schedule of the day's events, and was wondering how the pictures went in between the ceremony and cocktail hour. It looks to me like there's only an hour for that. Did anyone have any problems getting all the pictures you wanted? I know I have no other choice, but it just seems so short....

You can arrange for the guys to come over earlier in the afternoon with the staff and do your photos then. If you look back through this thread there are some of the girls who talk about doing this. We're actually aren't doing that, but we're not crazy about a million different poses or anything either so we're hoping to get them all in the hour. My fiance is kinda being silly about the whole not seeing me until the ceremony... even the night before! We are technically married already and have a 2 year old son... I tried telling that I think that all went out the window a while ago, but whatever he wants I guess :o  lol

I was worried about that too, but I think that it'll be enough time. My photographer is going with me during the day, will get pics of me and my bridesmaids before- probably sneak over and get some of the guys before the ceremony starts, Have him do his family ones before and me do mine...then after ceremony, combined family, combined bridal party, and Just US...it'll be quick, but when I was thinking of having a local wedding I remember there only being about 45 minutes between ceremony and reception to do it anyways....I think it'll work out. We are also not seeing each other before the wedding :)

For those of you that did maracas and added tags- did you give the WC the tags to put on the maracas and did you make the tags or order? The ones that say "shake at the kiss"

I know I can order maracas through the wedding coordinator, just wasn't sure how that got assembled.

Also, I know this was on here somewhere- anyone do the video??? Or have a sample?

Hi Everyone, what a great thread! So much information. I am looking into having our wedding at Las Caletas in February 2013, does anyone know if there are certain days of the week you can have it or is any day ok. Does anyone have any more information about it like the package I would get from the girls there? I have requested it from the company but understand they are very busy!

Hi Verstrepens,

I believe there's a calendar on their website that shows you the available dates.  Also on their website are the packages and you can get a quote from there too.  I know Dennise (wedding coord) is busy with planning her own wedding so its hard to get a hold of her right now.  E-mailing takes awhile so I just called them directly....although that took me a few tries as well lol.  They seem very busy.  I'm headed there on Saturday for a site visit and meeting with another wedding coordinator, Annie.  Can't wait!!!

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
