Thanks everybody for the nice compliments!! I want to go back and do it again every day. Although I would be exhausted. Exhausted in paradise doesn't sound too bad though lol. To answer your question, Andi, We did the trash the dress partly at the Westin, then downtown PV, and the beach is at Dreams PV. The dress was pretty trashed and I haven't gotten around to doing anything about it.

Hello everyone!
I am looking into having my wedding at Las Caletas but am having a hard time deciding on which resort to stay at. We would like an all-inclusive, maybe a 4.5 star resort? I don't want my guests having to spend any extra money. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Where did you and your group stay and if you don't mind sharing, how much was it per person? Which location did your catamaran depart from... Puerto Vallarta or Nuevo Vallarta?

Hi Cassidy,

We all stayed at Dreams PV and all our guests loved staying there, a few couples are planning to go back on their own next year.  I think the hotel offers a lot of value for the price. Our guests paid $110/night (it depends on Travel Agency, season and occupancy of the hotel). We had enough guests that our stay was free and we got upgraded to the newer tower and a suite.

If you want to read my review about Dreams PV you can see my blog, I have a page that is dedicated about my wedding. Here's the link --> http://healthycoconut.wordpress.com/wedding-plans/

This post is about our first day in PV. the details of our trip from L.A. to PV airport and checking in our suite --> http://healthycoconut.wordpress.com/2011/06/03/first-day-in-paradise/

I hope this helps.

I'm having all my guests stay at Dreams.  Their group rate is $104/night for the cheapest room and $156/night for the Jr. Suites.  They said it's 35% off their normal rate.  You can get some even better deals through expedia/orbitz for the hotel too depending on the time you book and if you book a flight/hotel package.

We are staying at the Dreams in November for my wedding and we are paying $91.28/night for the cheapest room and $145/night for the Jr. Suites!! We are departing from Puerto Vallarta! My mother went to both Dreams hotels there to site check and said 100% for sure Dreams Puerto Vallarta was one of the best hotels she has ever stayed at and she is a travel agent so that is saying alot! She said the atmosphere was much higher at puerto vallarta, at Dreams villamagna it was quite and low key and not a good resort for people sharing a room that are not dating as the washroom is wide open, and puerto vallarta was a fun clean resort perfect for a wedding group to stay at! From all the reviews I have read and the site visits, I would splurge and go with Dreams Puerto Vallarta for you and your guests and you will be very happy I think! We have stayed at 5 other Dreams resorts over the years and is by far my favorite hotel chain!

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
