Hey Ladies!  I leave tomorrow morning - Saturday is the first of 3 weddings I'm shooting in about two weeks at Las Caletas (including Megan's aka ReadyBetty) and I can't wait.  Let me know if you have anything you'd like me to look into for y'all and I'd be happy to.  Just post here today and I'll check it before I leave.  I'll be back on the 1st before I leave again on the 8th.  VIVA CALETAS!!!

Have any of you wonderful past/present/future LC brides done or plan on doing mini-tequila bottles for guest favors and if so, did you get them down there or bring them with you?? We would really like to do these with shot glasses, but I don't know if we can get them down there or not. Any advice ladies???

I was going to do something like that, but I know the majority of my guests are going to be wasted when they get back on the boat. I don't want to buy anything that is going to be left on the tables. I have decided to do donation cards. I am giving the money I budgeted for favors to a local organization in PV (I'm a teacher, it focuses on education) and putting a card at each place. Just a thought!

Anyhow I have plenty of time to decide on that, just curious about it cause I recently read something about on Projectwedding.com

ok ladies

2 week countdown begins..Is it horrible that I'm starting to just not care..The details are just starting to annoy me..I want to relax and enjoy this time but everyone is bugging me for something...not Kelley but my family...DJ and photographer... Hoping that it will be worth all the stress and money once I'm done...and the wedding is beautiful

Hi Nate,

It was great meeting you last Saturday, I was with Kelley during my site visit while you were shooting Amy's wedding. Thanks for coming on this thread and always being helpful to us brides.

I definitely read your posts and advice on this thread while planning my wedding.

Hi ladies,

We got married at Las Caletas last Monday (May 30th).

It was everything I had imagined, everything we thought our wedding of our dreams would be and more. Las Caletas was amazing. I had a lot of my guests come up to me saying it was the best wedding ever (and that is saying a lot because my friends has had some extravagant weddings at home). One of my favorite quotes from the night was "I thought weddings like this only happens in movies. It's so beautiful".

Will be back to post pictures once they are ready.

It was great meeting you too, Lea!  Glad to hear your wedding went as well as Amy and Dan's!  I'm honored to be a part of this forum, and I pinch myself every time I shoot a wedding at Las Caletas to make sure I'm not dreaming.  I head down again in a few days,  and I can't wait!

Also, one more plug for Kelley - she's been working miracles on top of making each wedding personal.  I had a great talk with her on the boat ride, and she really cares about each of her couples and wants their weddings to be just as they'd dreamed.

Choeft, I've felt the same way for a while now.  We leave Tuesday for PV and a big part of me is tired of looking at my wedding stuff that has been consuming my second bedroom for a year now.  Like you, I just want to be on a beach with a yummy margarita in hand and a good book by my side.  Awww yes, heaven. On the plus side, my last day of work before we leave is tomorrow! woot2.gif

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
