Hi Ladies!

I got "The Email" from Dennise a couple weeks ago to start the planning process! Time to start finalizing all the details! I will try and be better about posting on here as the process continues and keep you all informed in case you have questions!

Just got the confirmation that my wedding date is booked for Nov.12, 2014 at Las Caletas! Could not be any more excited. Just want to thank everyone for their input on this site, it's what made me choose this location.

Congrats and welcome!  November is perfect in PV (we are getting married this November, on the 16th at Las Caletas :) ) Be sure to let us know if you have any questions along the way - I'm sure I speak for everyone when I say we are more than happy to help!

Happy planning!!

Lauren

I'm also having a hard time finding a photographer... Not sure if I want to use the one offered at las Caletas. I looked into photoshoots Vallarta & License to still... And not really sold on either one. Has anybody used another dw photographer or a local photographer to PV?

Has any bride who stayed at the Barcelo hotel resort used their hair/makeup services for their bridal party? Since Las Caletas only allows 5 girls max (including bride) to go early I have about an additional 6 girls that will need to get ready at the hotel? Any advice? :)

We are using Photoshoots Vallarta.  We met and worked with Eva and Pierre last November for our engagement shoot (which was included in our package for free).  They are extremely nice and professional.  We LOVE our pictures and can't imagine having anyone other than Eva capture our wedding day.  Their prices are super reasonable as well.  Keep in mind that there is an additional $300 fee for using an outside photographer.  I've attached a few of our favorite engagement photos. :)

Photoshoots Vallarta 100%!  Eva and Pierre took care of us all day and Eva was also very helpful in translating for the hair dressers.

Here are a couple of pics from our day...also they adjusted the price for us because we didn't want the engagement/trash the dress session.  And we received all of our pics within a week!!!

We stayed at the Barcelo PV and my husband's cousin got her hair done at the salon there before the wedding, however, she said that she would have rather not paid to get her hair done because the boat ride was pretty windy. Her hair still looked nice and she was happy with it after the salon, but she wasn't happy with it after the windy boat ride. Just something to keep in mind! Also, the salon was apparently very busy when we were there (early December), so if you are going to arrange appointments for the day of your wedding, I would try to set an appointment before you go and then confirm it when you get there.

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
