I was an April bride lianne, it was warm for sure! I wouldn't say it was bad when getting ready maybe a little uncomfortable. the only time i remember being REALLY hot was during the ceremony other than that the weather is just perfect in April

Hi Everyone!

I'm new to the forum and have already found so much useful information! Thank you to all the brides who took the time to write reviews, post pictures & answer questions!  Wondering if anyone has recently used sparklers at Las Caletas and if so if you brought them over or shipped them before hand.  Reading through past posts and it seems the rules changed on allowing sparklers.

Andi I just looked at your pics from your wedding (slideshow) and they are absolutely beautiful! I am in the midst of getting my date booked at Las Caletas right now (for end of Dec, 2012). What type of flowers did you have in your bouquet? I am starting to get very excited and am just now realizing how much planning I have ahead of me!

It was 82 degrees during my visit so it felt very.cOmfortable . However before the ceremony walking around taking pics around las caletas my thighs felt warm but again this is mostly because of the dress . I wouldn't worry if I was you . No matter what just from excitement or maybe thickness of your dress you will feel warm no matter what and eventually not even notice it :)

Lianne, during the day we had he windows open and because you're so high up on the hill, I found there was always a nice breeze coming through. The only time I found it a little warm was when everyone getting ready near the end and the straightners, curlers, hair dryers going and then the sun was coming in right through those back windows at the same time where you get ready, but still very managable. I was never hot or sweaty so to speak in there, when we started dancing in the evening... well I was HOT then!!! lol even on the boat right home I was too hot to wear a wrap or anything.

I'm so grateful for the shared information here! Especially given that my coordinator, Annie, has been non-responsive...

Anyway, I'm getting married in May and I know it's going to be very warm. I was wanting to have a few small fresh flowers in my hair, but considering the heat in May and the feedback from recent brides that some of the flowers have been less than fresh, I'm now wondering if flowers for my hair is even a good idea. Have any other brides used fresh flowers?

BC Bride,

Annie has not responded to us either.  We have emailed and called (left voicemails) many times over the last few weeks.  I understand she is busy in her new position, but one of the things that sold us on Las Caletas was the great reviews on Kelley & the other wedding coordinators.  I'm a little worried now that Kelley is gone.  She would always respond by the next day.  I guess we'll have to wait and see if Annie picks her game up. Let's both cross our fingers.

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
