Has anyone or will anyone be getting legally married down there? I know it's an option, but my mom is worried about it and how 'safe' it is and all that.  I would prefer to get married on my actual wedding day, but not sure if it's the smartest choice. Just curious to know of past experiences and how complicated it is or what not!

We decided to avoid the blood tests in another country (just in case one of us gets sick) and are having our legal wedding here in Canada with my fiance's Grandmother who will not be able to travel with us.  She will be only witness, so no one else will complain that we were married here and they didn't get to see it. :)

I was just reading thru the last 15 posts..I was married there in June and unless you have to have it don't spend the extra money on flowers...with the view there and the limited amount of time you spend up at the tables it is really not worth it. I spent the extra $100 to have orchids in my flowers because I wanted them and got one bag of petals for the isle...other then what they include I would say it is really not worth the cost. For my centerpieces I did the limes with floating candels..I think I was a total of $40 for all 8 of them.

Sounds like SUCH a great idea, I can't wait to see how it looks!

OK my questions are starting to flow now that I am back in weddind planning mod again. Sorry for so many ladies...  embarrest.gif I was just thinking about the seating and was wondering how many people had one long table and how many people comfortable sat that way. I really like this idea, but we're at 32 adults and 2-3 kids including us, but I am guessing there might be as many as 40 of us with the last minute bookers. I  was just trying to figure out if that would be too many for one table????? Any suggestions or advice???

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
