By the way, my photog Jared Rey is from Dallas and will fly anywhere....he was awesome to work with and such a genuinely nice person. Also, I had boudoir photos shot in Houston by Tara from Red Shoe Boudoir and it turned out amazing and was so much fun to do!! Here are two face shots (I don't want my bod on the internet but don't worry, she makes you look good!!)

Thanks everyone for the compliments! I am so ready to go back again every month and do it over and over...lol I wish. It was truly amazing. In the one picture of just me getting ready to walk down the aisle with my bouquet that is Kelley in the peach dress in the background. She and the staff at Vallarta Adventures are top notch and will pull off your perfect wedding day seamlessly!

To answer some questions: Yes, Mishka made the papel picado and the papel picado chuppah. I just interacted with her online, my dad actually went and picked up the papel a couple of days before the wedding. I am very happy the way it turned out and I only wish I could have taken maybe one back with me. She was very nice and professional to work with.

The dog is actually named "Coochie Flies". I'm serious. My dad is re-married and lives in Mexico, and it is my step-brother and his girlfriend's dog. I remember visiting them with Andrew and hearing them call the dog's name, and we would just crack up. I guess Coochie is a little nickname in Mexico. Anyway, I had no idea he was coming, but I remember Kelley came up to the casita to let me know that the guests had arrived, and she mentioned, "even the dog made it over". I was like, "What dog?". Anyway, he is cute and was the most dressed up person there besides Andrew,....he was wearing a tie!!

My dress is a San Patrick Eresma style. I added the rhinestone piece in front from ChantalEveleen on Etsy. I got the dress at Weddings by Debbie in the Houston area. My dress got pretty much destroyed that night from sand, dirt, boat, and hotel lobby after. Oh ya, I also was sweating profusely the entire time from the heat, the dress, and dancing. My husband even told the photog we might have had to cancel our TTD the session the next day cause it was already trashed lol, the bottom of it was literally black. Then, during our TTD session, the Pacific Ocean really destroyed it. The train became like an 80lb anchor in the water filling with sand. Those photos should be interesting lol. Just a warning....the Pacific Ocean's waves and undertow are very powerful!!

I know some other people asked about shoes earlier....I wore what I would call flat platform wedges to give me some height. They worked out pretty well actually. I think the key was they didnt go up like a heel to possibly throw you off balance. I got them from DSW.

The escort cards were last minute Etsy purchase but I loved them! I got them from "jennie" on Etsy. She was quick and great to work with.

If yall have any other questions feel free to ask!!

Guests signed the postcards and placed them back in the box, I will probably make a little book to keep them in and I am keeping a few keepsakes from the wedding in the box. I got the box from NanaMontana on etsy (http://www.etsy.com/transaction/48147142). Looking back, it was huge!! I thought it was going to be smaller when I ordered it. However, it might be a nice size to keep stuff in for after the wedding. I had to carry it to Mexico and back though. We just bought the postcards at the Westin gift shop the day of.

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
