Las Caletas Couples ~ POST HERE!!! (**All LC Brides...PLEASE READ 1st post, red text)

Recommended Posts

We just got back from our wedding and it was AMAZING!!!!!  All of you planning for your LC wedding...you will be blown away.  It was a perfect day in every way except that it went too fast of course!  Kelley is truly amazing, the DJ was awesome, Brad is wonderful, Nate & Yanen were great photographers...I can't rave enough!

For those of you waiting for a reply from Kelley - she is running like crazy right now I know.  Four weddings this week after ours so she is working on emails but don't panic if she takes a bit.  We had some slow moments in the last month but then she really pulls things together...she is a complete pro.

We had the mariachi band for the arrival of the guests and the cocktail hour.  Yes, expensive but tons of fun and the guests enjoyed them.  That cocktail hour speeds by if you are doing photos.  I did still get a little drink in and a couple of appies and heard some of the band but it is dinner time all too soon.  Dinner was sooooo good.  Especially the desserts.  The cake was also good but didn't eat much of it!  Many of the guests took some home in the boxes I provide though.

Anyone have questions I can answer while it is fresh in my mind feel free to ask!  I am working on my Planning Thread (didn't quite happen before I left) and the review for you all.

Welcome back Sheri! congrats!

Here is another BEAUTIFUL LC wedding I came across today on Elizabeth Medina's blog. AMAZING

I especially like the pic of the bride sleeping in the hammock...such a great pic of how your wedding day should (and will) be at LC!

We are working on the invitations, and would like to include a map. Can somebody point to exactly where LC is on a map? I've done several searches but I can only get within about 30 miles of it, but haven't been able to pin point it on the bay.

Thanks!

Billy and Erin

are you looking for a map of the bay? or a map of what is at Las caletas? there is a great map of las caletas in the vallarta adventures tour brochure...i can't seem to find that online.

this is the only bay map I was able to find:

http://www.vallartaonline.com/tours/WhaleWatching/

it is on the right of the page, tour route.

the actual las caletas map is floating around on BDW somewhere

Thanks for that map! I may actually use that in our invitations.

I'm still looking for a map of the Bay that's slightly more detailed that points out LC. That way, I can go on to google maps and zoom in on LC.

Hi everyone!

It's been a while since I have logged in, I have been swamped at work!  I am looking forward to having next week off...lots of wedding planning ahead!!!  I hope all the wedding planning is coming along for everyone.  Jarred and I sent out our Save the Dates on Monday...SO, SO EXCITING!!!  Now that we officially have our date locked in (11-12-11) and our photographer booked, I feel like I can breathe.  Now it's time to start working on all the fun stuff; dress shopping, colors, etc.

My wedding is coming up so fast that I am now starting to feel behind after I learned how far along Lesley is!!  My bridal shower is around the corner and we are working on our OOT bags this week. Any suggestions on cute and fun stuff to put in the bags?  Also, does anyone have any cheap sites to buy seashells or starfish?

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
