I believe that everyone including the bride and groom are counted in the head count yes.

Our photogs were there almost all day and I wanted them to be able to eat too! They had a little table off to the side where they could sit and eat, set their stuff down etc.

Good to know; I was worried about this too!  Only 78 days until I'll be married at Las Caletas!!  Woo-hoo!  Is this about the time I should be contacting Kelley to work out the details??

She was the one that suggested it to us when I asked her about the time of sunset.  We did have a Sunday wedding though so no one else was at caletas.  I am guessing that is why it was so easy.  But it seemed like the sunset was earlier than 7.  I think you can look online at sunset time and find them specifically.  Even with moving up the ceremony an hour I felt rushed with the pics because we were quickly running out of sunlight.  If you want to check out my professional pics email me and I will give you the website and password.  You can see what the sun was light right after the ceremony.

Right now we have our photographer coming early (around 3 before all the guests arrive) to shoot just the 2 of us and wedding party, and then we'll do family and sunset photos after the ceremony.

We planned it maybe a month or two before the wedding date.

I e-mailed Kelley about moving my ceremony up an hour and she said that she will do her best to accomodate me but it just depends on how many tours she has scheduled for that day.  How far in advance did Kelley give you the okay regarding moving your ceremony forward?  Also, I just thought I would mention that Kelley said sundown is about 7:00 pm this time of year.

Thanks again,

Nicole

Hi ladies, So I will be getting married this time next year : Jan. 14th 2012. So I took the platinum package which holds a max of 80 guests.Well, I figured I'd have about 60-65 guests but just sent out my save the dates and see that I might just have all 80!! anyhoo, I was wondering if anyone has ever had a wedding past the 70 count? My concerns is does the plae feel crowded with so many people? How are the chairs set up in sand after?

Also Is it too early to start looking for a wedding photographer? Is the one that is included in wedding package any good? Are they professionals and if so where can I see their work?

Thanks ladies.

SheriB congrats on starting the wedding planning must be soo exciting!!

We had 55 and it was sort of tight at dinner.  Im not sure how kelley sets up for larger weddings.  Look for a photographer!  They seem to book up fast.  I think there is a list on this thread. I remember posting what kelley sent to me but I dont have it anymore.

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
