Thanks for sharing this picture Kat. I was curious too about the lighting. I always see great pro-pics and the lighting was nice but just wasn't sure if it was edited after or not. We will have some older adults who will be attending the wedding so I want to be able to move around freely without assistance if they have bad eyesight in the dark.

Thanks for posting those pictures!  The candles everywhere and stairs make me nervous since I wil be having quite a few younger ones at the party (my nephew the ring bearer will be 4 and he is a handful), but I will just have to hope parents are on top of keeping up with them.

Was there anything anyone did not like about their wedding?

Nope! there is nothing I would do different. Everything was perfect for us! sure there were minor things that didn't go as planned (like my ipod not working properly) but really nothing that makes me regret any decision that I made.

Thats great that no negative comments!  I am a perfectionist so I tell myself daily I have to understand that with a destination wedding everything will not be exatly as I thought.

Is the sand there nice?

Is dinner and the bar all in the same location? (trying to get an idea based on pictures)

Where are bathrooms located?

What did your FI wear for the wedding?

Did anyone get married on Wednesday??  That is the day that would be best for me since we are getting married the week after Christmas, but I am worried since they say it will be very busy.

I am sure that there will be SOME little things that won't go EXACTLY as planned. That is just the way it works.. but nothing terrible should happen. Vallarta Adventures knows what they are doing and they are great at it. Kelley is there for you every step of the way and she is wonderful at what she does! You will see! Your wedding will be great!

Dinner and the bar are at the same location. The buffet is set up right next to the bar which is located on the middle of the wall. You will see, it is very well put together. I will see if I can find a picture!

Ok, this is a picture of my Step brother giving his speech. He is standing facing the sweetheart table that my husband and I sat at. Behind him is the bar. And the buffet is just to the left of the bar.

This doesnt really show it that clearly.. but if you can see the set of candles to the left of the bar.. that is where the buffet is, along with the dessert bar.

The bathrooms are right around the corner from where you eat near where the guys get dressed.

I hope that helps a little :)

EricaMarie,

If Kelly is telling you that Wednesdays are more busy because of the cruise ships coming in then I would take that as she is telling you that for a reason!  The wedding area is on the complete other side of where the Rythms of the Night show/dinner is but you would still feel the presense of people around if that makes sense at all.

If you are having any concerns about the wednesday thing then i would go for another day if it is possible.

Thanks Kat and Andi!  Kelley's concern for Wed. is that if she needs to work a miracle of some sort in terms of the boats and such it is much harder for her, but that the people there for the shows are still arriving at different times than a wedding would start.  Im weighing my options carefully and trying to decide quickly. I appreciate your input.

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
