Las Caletas Couples ~ POST HERE!!! (**All LC Brides...PLEASE READ 1st post, red text)

Well, I would be thinking about your cake, wedding favors, seating arrangements, wedding party gifts (if you have a wedding party), a song list for the wedding and reception for the DJ, a Welcome Dinner if you want to have one, picking your flowers and decor if you havent done that already, how you want to do your hair and make up.. that kind of thing.

I have soo many questions that I hope some of you brides out there can help with.  I am looking into getting married there December 2011.  The only time that all of our guests would be able to come is Christmas time.  We will be picking a day between Christmas and New Years.  Are there any brides that have gotten married around this time.  I am nervous at cost for my guests to travel at this time of year but I can't think of any other time that I would be able to get most to go and weather be good.

I love the idea of how private a wedding here will be.  Has anyone seen anything similar?  I am soo nervous to commit even though I love the looks of this place since I personally will not be able to do a site check myself.

Did most of you have your family there days before the wedding or more after the wedding?

Is the area where the party is held safe for children?  I will be having quite a few kids attending.

How is the food?  Quality of the food is pretty important to me.

Around how much did it cost to have someone come and do hair and make-up?

Any help I will appreciate! rolleyes.gif

I have never been to Mexico in December, but I am sure it will be really beautiful!

I have not seen anything similar in the "privacy" aspect. Las Caletas is GREAT for that. The beach is so beautiful and it feels like no one else is there but the people at your wedding. That is exactly the reason we picked it. We didn't want "random" people walking by our wedding. It was worth every penny to have the seclusion!

We had 32 people at our wedding including us and everyone stayed a week. We got there 2 1/2 days before the wedding and stayed another 4 days after. It was the BEST week of our lives.. everyone still raves about it.

I didn't have any kids at our wedding.. but Las Caletas is very safe

The food was REALLY good. And there is SO much of it! Everyone raved about how great the food was.

Off the top of my head I cant remember how much hair and make up costed. I want to say it was $220 for mine... any other girls get theirs done that can remember more clearly?

Thanks!! Ann and Kat.

I will trying looking for thier posts.

We are estimating that we may have about 100 people at our wedding.  Everyone intends on coming and half of my family lives in Mexico so I know they will coming for the wedding.  This is a reaon that I like LC because I will be getting so much for my money since I am having a large group I know it will add up fast.

About how long was the fire dancer show?  Did anyone get sick on the boat?  I am kinda worried about the combination of drinking and being on a boat home?  Is the the ride rough?

Once the sun goes down is it really dark there?

Kelley told me she does not suggest Wed. because that is the day of the week cruise ships will be at the marina as well.  Did anyone gt married on a Wed., if so what was your experience?

Thanks again ladies!

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
