We booked in october so I've had a lot of time...not that I'm even close to being done!

I'm a last minute bride. We were going to do something private at our villa in PVR, but then I saw LC and I HAD TO HAVE IT. I just booked 2 weeks ago for a November 3, 2010 wedding. TALK ABOUT STRESSED! Actually, it hasnt been that bad. I'm 1/2 way thru my OOT bags and ready to go!! HA

I started out as a dreams bride and wanted to have a simple simple wedding. Not sure where I blew up, but we didn't want a huge wedding, just some "I do's" and then a party. Then I saw LC and was like umm.... we can put more money towards this right? Convinced him to do the "day wedding" (not sure they have that package anymore) and then did a final switcheroo to the biggest package. LOL! Ended up spending WAYYYY more than we intended but it was really the best decision. Even my DH agrees!

We were the same way too. As soon as I saw it, I knew that where I wanted the wedding. We got engaged at dreams villamagna in october and I didnt love it. We stayed at dreams PV the year before and loved that. So with having it at las caletas and guests staying at dreams we get the best of both worlds.

TOO FUNNY RACHEL....That's how we started out...Something small and inexpensive. I first looked at the barefoot wedding and though.....$595 + $95 pp wasnt bad....Then I wanted MORE MORE MORE. Talked to FI and he blew his lid at first telling me that I was WAY over budget, but I got what I wanted in the end and think he'll be super happy with the wedding day.

It is TOTALLY worth it!! I dont know what package you got.. but we got the "best" one mostly because it was the one with the most amount of time that you can spend on Caletas! It was SO MUCH fun!

It was a little more than we really wanted to spend but it was the best wedding I could have asked for!

Nessa- how many people do you have going? For us, it wasn't a huge difference between the large package and the smaller package because of the price per person difference. We over calculated how many would come, but we didn't know that at the time.

I agree with Kat though- not that I've been able to compare the two packages- BUT I do know that extra time is priceless. It goes sooooo fast! By the time you feel like you can catch your breath it's all over.

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
