Las Caletas Couples ~ POST HERE!!! (**All LC Brides...PLEASE READ 1st post, red text)

Recommended Posts

Nessa- most of the LC weddings have been on days other than Sunday. A few years ago, LC used to charge DOUBLE the cost for a Sunday wedding so many didn't go that route! My wedding was on a Thursday.

Also, I highly suggest going over early! It gives you time to get ready and just relax. I'm not sure if we have had a bride not go over early, but hopefully they can chime in on what kind of timeframe you are looking at. I know on my wedding the boat ran late with all the guests so when they arrived we started the ceremony ASAP. There would have been NO time for me to get ready had I not come over early.

like Rachel said, Sunday weddings at LC used to be rare/unheard of. i think most people want their wedding on Sat or Friday. but since you're in Mexico on vacation, it's not as important! i know ALL Sundays can't be booked up, but are you trying to get married before a certain time or something?

also, like Rachel said, i think most (all?) brides go over early - you really won't have time to get ready otherwise. but if that's not important, then i suppose you could go over in the afternoon/evening with everyone else.

DOUBLE for a Sunday wedding?!? Yikes!

My wedding was on a Tuesday! No problems there. I was on vacation. I could really care less what actual day of the week it was on, and neither did anyone else!

And I would TOTALLY suggest going over early! It is so relaxing!!!

I agree! going in the morning is the way to go! My wedding day was so relaxing and it was so nice to spend that quality time with the few people that joined me for the day, it was an experience that I will never forget!

Hello Ladies!

I have a quick question for those of you that have been to Las Caletas... how many people can comfortably get ready in the bridal casita? I think I am going to be bringing 8 girls over plus me and want to make sure we won't be stepping all over each other....

Thanks for the input!!

Heather

In my personal opinion 8 would be a lot. I brought 2 girls and my mom and we had plenty of room, but there arent many power outlets.. so if you plan on getting your hair done it might be ok... but if you are planning on bringing stuff to do your own hair I would keep in mind that there just arent that many power outlets.

hello! I would tend to agree with Kat in that 8 plus yourself might be a bit on the tight side. there are not a lot of outlets and it is not a huge space to begin with. there were 4 adults and 3 kids when we were there, it was a good thing that would could send the kids out to play and explore because otherwise it would have been tight! I am sure you could do it though, just be prepared for some tight quarters getting ready.

We had 8 in the casita. It was tight but we managed. The only issue really was the showers- one shower for 8 people. Well techinically I think there were two shower heads and towards the end, two girls "showered" together in their bathing suits.

As for counter space for makeup and hair, I thought there was plenty of room for that.

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
