For the ladies that recently had their weddings and had the groom go over to Las Caletas early, did it cost extra to have the groom and groomsmen head over earlier? if so was it the $76 pp?

Also, what kind of music did the dj play?

Thank you, maybe it's me but I think it's expensive for that when I'm already paying enough for everything else. UGH! sorry, just frustrated. Thank you for the info!

I've ready earlier on this thread that they worked out with Kelley to have the guys come over on the employee boats that leave from a different marina to save on costs.

I'm going to have the same issue as I need to have my fiance, his 8 groomsmen, and our fathers to come over before the general guests.  I can't afford the almost $1K additional just to transport the boys over on a separate boat before the other guests!  That seems very steep.

We had our wedding on a Sunday. The boys, photographer, and my hair/makeup girl and assistant came over from Boca De Tomatlan earlier....its a small fishing port south of town. It was about 45 minutes to an hour from the Westin (in the Marina) and was 600 pesos (approx 60 bucks) taxi ride. Well worth it though. The girls and I came over around 10ish I think leaving from the marina, the makeup girls around 1:30, and the boys around 2 or 3 I think. I can't explain how amazing it was pulling up to Caletas. It was a Sunday so no tours were there, it was so beautiful, calm, and peaceful, like we had the whole place to ourselves. We swam in the ocean, ate a yummy lunch, and then went up to get ready. By the time the boys got there, we were at the casita getting ready so they didn't see us. They were able to go swimming and relax also. If you do go this route, just know that Boca is a small town, not touristy by any means, but safe. The boys actually waited for the boat having a beer at an outdoor bar. Kelley came over with them also, and it was just a small boat, nothing fancy. I feel comfortable and safe in Mexico but I know a lot of people don't so you might just want to let them know. • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
