Thank you! I just got an email from Kelley today, so I can start working to figure out if this realistic for us! Quick question for you all, she mentioned the $10 per person tip but there wasn't any mention of tax. Where you all taxed on the per person rate or grand total or not at all?

I also requested a quote from Playa Fiesta and they showed a 15% tip on the food and drink cost and 15% tax on both food and drink, so it got me wondering about tax at Las Caletas.

Also has any one ever asked if they could get Chavari chairs out there?

Hi!

We only had 50 people at our wedding but did ask the question about 80+ guests. It's possible their policy has changed, but here was her response as of June 2010:

Technically we can accommodate more.. we can go up to 120 pax.    The thing is that if you go over 80 people, the price per person changes.  So for the initial 80, it remains at $50 usd a person, number 81, 82, 83 and so forth becomes $75 usd per person.  This is to help me cover the larger boat I would need, more staff and such..

Hope this helps!

Hey ladies- what type of shoes are you all wearing? I got my dress and it's a little more traditional with a little beach flare to it, I'm thinking some sort of wedge, but I just want to make sure I can walk on the sand- anyone have suggestions or pics of their shoes they wore? Thanks!

A-maz-ing. Simply, amazing.  I know it's been almost two weeks since we've been back and I've failed to write anything on here....so for that, I suck.  I promise to get my two cents in this weekend when I have a chance to catch up with everything.  Yeah Nathaniel, how's about that teaser.  (wink wink)  1-pray.gif

So just curious what everyone is doing/has done for their  cake. I guess the standard is with flowers . I dont mind but I have been looking at pics and have a certain cake in mind with a design around cake. Not too elaborate but not exactly plain either. Just wondering if more elaborate requests are available and at what extra charge. ? Ok thanks ladies

there really isn't one seating chart - its probably different for every wedding.  when i did mine (4 years ago!) she gave me a few guidelines and then i made my own.

i had wedges but kicked them off half way down the aisle - there is a grass mat thing i walked on so i wasn't on the actual sand.  but this was a while ago!

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
