Thank you all so much for all of the information that you have shared on the forum. I have read and read and read. This has been the absolute best resource that I have had. I also appreciate the girls who supported me when I lost my grandmother last week. That was do difficult and they were just so kind.

 

I am very excited for our wedding. We have put so much thought into everything that we are doing. I hope our guests love everything and have a wonderful time with us.

 

Engagement

We were engaged 5/17/08 at Belle Mer in Newport, RI. He picked this day because it was exactly one year from when he “knew†he loved me. The previous year I had my wisdom teeth out and I went to NH to stay with my mom. Benny had gone to NYC because it was the last weekend before his parents went back to DR. He was so worried about me that he got on Amtrak from NY to Boston and then took a bus from Boston to NH to be with me.

The Rings-Benny designed my ring and I LOVE it. We found his ring when we were in London (his favorite place on earth) last year at Thanksgiving.

Friend that I am indebted to-I owe this girl everything…She introduced Benny and I. When he was ready to propose he went to her because she worked at a very unique jewelry shop and she introduced him to the jeweler who made my ring. She is now a make-up artist and is doing my make-up on our wedding day….I owe her the world!!!

My BIG gift to him is that I am flying in our photographer Corinna Raznikov and suprising him at our welcome cocktail. She is going to walk in and just start taking pictures of him until he notices and freaks out.

 

At Home Civil Ceremony on The Elite Boston-We had a great day on June 20, 2009 with 65 family and friends. We cruised Boston Harbor.

Ok so I think that is everything. Hope you enjoy. I can't wait to get there and stop worrying about everything....my stepmom just called benny to tell him that her and my father can not go because my now has to go to Panama for work...I'm done....just want to get there and be on the beach.

I love that you are surprising your FI with the photographer that you both love!

 

so sorry for the loss of your grandma, I am sure she will totally be watching over you two while in Punta Cana and on your wedding day!

      Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!

      Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else.
