I am still going to try and cancel the veil.

Where are you getting your veil from Jilly?
Yes they were tiny fishing weights, but I guess you can do the same with some little beads.
I am ordering mine off of ebay. my dress has some lace on it, so I decided to get one with lace edging.

Here's a picture, word of warning the mannequin is scary!!!

I'm also going to wear it low on the back of my head tucked under my hair, I don't want it over my shoulders like that.

Yikes! Yes she is a little scary!

I really like the mantilla look - Can't wait to see it all come together!

Oh my God, Paula! This sounds so strange, but you look so beautiful in the pictures that it just brought tears to my eyes!! That dress is just so amazing I keep scrolling back up and looking at it!!!

I love what you have for your veil idea---- I think the length is perfect with that dress, and the single layer is perfect too because you want the detail of the back of your dress to stand out and not be "hidden" by the veil! I do agree tho about the color being a little off. I think the contrast of getting the veil in a slightly different shade of the dress is the right idea, but maybe something more of a cream color in the same veil?

I'm so happy for you (Twinkie!) for finding your dress so quickly!! It's just absolutely amazing on you!!!

That dress is amazing! Actually, it's you that look amazing in it. Perfect choice. I would go with a different color veil.

Awwwww! hug2.gif
I have actually been second guessing my choice now, but it has to be because of the veil in these pictures. This dress has been 'it' since the first time I tried it on, all others were compared to it. It seems a lot more plunging now that I see it in pictures too...

Good luck at work today Maria!

    • The cooking method can double the calorie content of a meal, so learn about healthy cooking without having to add extra fats, like using a steamer,  a rotisserie , a slow cooker , a pressure cooker, a grill. Once you cook your own meals, you can control the calorie content because your control the cooking method and all the ingredients. A lot of people are overweight because they keep eating food that they did not cook.
    • I have stayed at Dreams La Romana and Dreams Dominicus.  The two resorts are very different in style and decor. A few comparison points are below and fact sheets are attached for both.   Both resorts are approx 45 minutes from Punta Cana airport, close proximity to Saona Island, Catalina Island and Altos de Chavon. Top championship golf courses in the Caribbean are just minutes away including Teeth of the Dog, Dye Fore, The Links and La Estancia – all designed by world-famous Pete Dye. Restaurants are similar at both resorts.  Both offer the Explorers Club for Kids.  Dreams Dominicus  Brand new resort and in 2016 488 rooms (however additional construction was underway) More contemporary style & decor Good beach area Rooms were very nice Preferred Club located in main lobby and adjacent to main pool & beach front Food was good Center plaza area with nighttime entertainment Main lobby is small, but outdoor bar off lobby is nice Dreams La Romana Originally built in 2003 & opened as Dreams La Romana in 2008 756 rooms Recently renovated and new preferred club adults only lounge & pool added  Rooms are more traditional Caribbean decor Grounds are very lush and tropical Good beach area food was good    Dreams Dominicus fact sheet.pdf Dreams La Romana fact sheet.pdf
    • My sister has done it but with the destination wedding, only super close family members and friends came since it was expensive and farther. It was great though.
