Thank you so much for the review! The more I read, the more I am leaning toward Dreams Cancun. Only thing is I want a ceremony on the beach and have had no luck finding a review of a beach ceremony there. We will see! But you wedding was gorgeous, love the colors and your bouquets were WOW. Looks like you had a great time, can't wait for my turn.

Fab review, your beach reception piccies are amazing!! We just got mega excited looking at them as we are having the same as you.
Could i please ask what time you got married? We have said 4pm on 5th Dec 2010.

You should check what time the sun sets in December. In November, it set every night around 5 so we scheduled our ceremony to begin at 3:30. The ceremony was over by 4:00 and left us some time to get pictures in the daylight. I wanted some of them to have the beautiful background. It would stink if all your pictures were in the dark becuase it really is a gorgeous location. I'll post my professional ones when I get them:)

Couple of questions...do you remember who your officiant was? Were they easy to understand? Did you do a TTD session?
Thank you so much for a great review!!

Congrats MRS!!!!!!!!!!! bunny_4.gif bunny_4.gif bunny_4.gif
Sorry, I don't remember who my officiant was, but it was a woman. She was a little difficult to understand at points but it wasn't too bad. I did not do a trash the dress session, because I couldn't bare to ruin my dress, but looking back I should have. My dress was trashed from the sand anyway.

I had a question about coco bongo- we are going to go there after our reception to keep the party rolling! Who is Z, where do we find her, would she go with us after our wedding, and is there long line ups to get in?

congrats again! thanks so much for the review!!!
Coco Bongo is absolutely incredible and you won't be disappointed. It doesn't open until 10:30pm but stays open until 6am. Z (sorry I can't pronounce her full name) is part of the Dreams Entertainment crew. You can find them everyday by the pool running beach volleyball, water aerobics, etc. Just approach one of the members when you get there and tell them when you want to go and how many people are in your group. They will set everything up for you. If you go through them, the bride and groom get in free, the guests get a discount, you get a seating area and VIP treatment all night and you don't have to wait in line. It was awesome and Z was fantastic! She is in my group shot from the night. She's in the middle in a black shirt and jeans.

Maria - you looked absolutely stunning! Thank you so much for sharing all of your pics. It is getting me sooo excited about our big day! I loved all the little details you had. One question is what were those things on your table with the cigars - they looked like towels?

You put a lot of detail into your wedding - I appreciate you sharing all of it with us!

Thanks so much. It reallly was a great wedding and Dreams is a phenomenal place. That was our favor table. We gave all the guys cigars and the women pashminas. The women loved them and they came in handy on chilly nights.

I think that there aren't many girls who have had Beach Weddings at Dreams Cancun, and I think that once you see the view from the gazebo for yourself, you'll know why!! That has to truly be one of the best spots in Mexico to get married. All you can see is ocean and all you can hear are the waves hitting the rocks below...So awesome :)

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
