no more DW for me either! like many of us here, ecomomics, family and friends have taken their toll.

so on Monday we decided to move the wedding from Jamiaca to Atlanta. I am trying to keep in good spirits, but there is definitely a part of me that is really sad.

That being said - i have to put my big girl panties on and BUCK UP! i have 37days to put a wedding together!!!!! AHHHHHHHHHH. so there will be more freaking out and venting on this board.

so far this week i have secured the church and the reception venue. CHECK CHECK! I already had my priest, now i just have to break the news that he is going to buckhead instead of ocho rios! HA!

since a simple cotton jcrew sundress is not quite suitable for a cathedral... i have to find an off the rack dress! ARRGGGH!! but at least i will get to wear some kick @ss shoes now.

love you guys!! i cannot do this without you.

deanna marissa marie - so close to being a cruise bride, but just happy to be marrying my prince charming.

PS: FI did tell me that we can have what i will be calling an "island reception" next year. Instead of a DW wedding and an AHR, i will have an AHW and a DR! :) we wil see if that works out.

sorry you have to move it here! it's nice to see another ATL bride though!! have you tried New Natalie's Bridal? That's where I got my dress. They have soooooo many, that I'm sure you'll be able to find something off the rack. And they have amazing prices. My dress at two different shops was going to cost an extra $300!!! Where in Buckhead are you getting married?

Oh my, that sucks, but you have the right attitude! And congrats on getting some of the major things sorted out. It must be very stressful! Would it not be for the $15K non-refundable fee for canceling the DW, I'd probably be going that route too - or at least changing the resort. Oh well, we learn!

Best of luck to the two of you!

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
