Questions for the TTD'ers

Recommended Posts

Hmm, that's the problem my dress is shantung silk so I am worried and if there's the chance it will be ruined I'd rather get another dress to use.

Where did you find the linen dress you used?

I did a TTD session, but went in the pool. It dried over night, which surprised me. I haven't taken it to the cleaners yet ...afraid of the bill.

I agree that you should direct the novice TTD photographers to examples of what you are expecting or would like. But, really I think once they realize what you want to do they'll have a lot of great suggestions and ideas. I know my photog, Jonathan Thrasher, had a lot of great ideas.....and, I don't think he's done a lot of TTD sessions.

If your dress is silk, I would definitely get a second dress. ..my dress was polyester. :)

Hey,

I have done lots of trash the dress sessions, and I can't believe how well the dresses hold up. We haven't ruined one yet. One bride even jumped in a dirty shrimping creek and one went in a fountain and you know how those can be! :)

A professional cleaner should definitely be able to clean the dress. With that said, you may want to avoid the session or use another dress if you would be upset if your dress could not be returned to perfect condition. It would suck if you were counting on that and it couldn't be done.

But...if you just want the dress cleaned so that it could be preserved for memories sake...you should be fine!

:)

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
