Single people travelling/staying at the MP

Recommended Posts

Hey

has anyone had a wedding guest travelling/staying on thier own?

My uncle is a single man and wants to come to my wedding, but the single room prices are just soooooooooooooo excessive. i considered him staying elsewhere, but he'd want to be with us all day every day, and paying for a pass is just as expensive every day. i don't know what to do.

anyone faced this problem? or anyone know anyone that stayed in a triple room? do you know how they were laid out? is it two bedrooms or just more beds in one room?

thanks!

One of my parents friends is staying in a single room. He was going to bring someone to make it cheaper but in the end it's just him. Sometimes you just gotta suck it up and pay I guess...I don't know if him staying elsewhere woud be a good alternative, then he'd really be alone all the time.

Is there another relative whose room he could stay in?

its so tough. he really wants to come but can't afford it.

im trying to find out if there are any two bedroom suites available and the cost, see if that would work.

if he stayed externally but paid the $86 a day to come into the MP it could be a possibility. i don't know. i might see how much it would cost as a couple, and how much it is as a sinlge and offer to split the difference..

Can you pay the difference? If not but he's on his own (literally!) It's so redic that single suppliments are so excessive! Boo! My DH's parents are divorced and they both payed for single rooms! DH joked they should share a room but that didn't go over well!! HAHA!

HI, what about staying at one of the sister resorts (sun palace etc) not sure if they are cheaper than the moon? that way they can still come onsite to the MP and use the facilities: like MP holiday makers can use the Sun Palace facilities? I think there is a tram service between the resorts or worse situation grab a taxi which will prob be around 10USD? hope this helps

The Sun and the Cancun Palace are both the same price (infact the Sun PAlace is more expensive)

i'm considering getting him booked into another, cheaper hotel, and paying the $86 fee every day so he can come in. that might be cheaper.

does anyone know if there are any other hotels close to the MP?

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
