I made up cards with different actions and put them in a glass bowl. If someone wanted us to kiss, they had to select a card from the bowl. Examples of some were: "give Tom & Lucy marriage advice", "kiss another guest", "Tom & Lucy kiss", etc., etc. This worked out great until my smart-aleck friend picked through them and left only the "Tom & Lucy kiss" ones in the bowl! Everybody's a comedian :)

We did the show them how its done thing.  If you wanted us to kiss, you had to come up and show us how.  Then we repeated it.  It was a lot of fun because people got creative.  With our best man and his wife, she jumped up and wrapped her legs around his waist.  Obviously I couldn't do that in my mermaid wedding dress.  So I hopped on my chair and jumped on J from there.  Everyone absolutely loved it.  We had people do all kinds of silly or chaste or whatever they wanted kisses and then we copied it.  Everyone got a kick out of it.  Someone else mentioned doing this but writing people's names down to be next.  We didn't do that.  If people wanted to come up and show us how its done, great, if not, they didn't have to.

I was at a wedding once where they had a large dice that people could go up and roll. Each number had a different thing to do, a couple of the numbers were the couple would kiss, another number was the person rolling had to dance, another one was that they had to kiss their partner etc. You could maybe make this into a more tropical theme?

Another wedding I went to you could either show them how it was done by kissing your date, or sing a love song or recite a love poem...

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
