thanks again for posting all that info as I am sure we all have the same questions!

 

I emailed her last week and she already emailed me back! wahoo!

 

I asked if we are having the free wedding package if we need to put down a 25% deposit for the rest of the stuff (gazebo, additional 20 for dinner, additional flowers, etc) and she said it would be due when we meet with her when we get there...so good to know for the rest of you also going with the free package :)

 

I am still wanting to know dinner options for the Grill and Italian as I was going to make menu's from Vistaprint before we leave. I guess I will worry about it closer to the time...thats the problem with being anal retentive! haha

Thanks for all the info!

I've been waiting for answers for a WHILE from her as well... the last batch I sent, she actually emailed me back a day after saying "thanks for your mail, I will respond tomorrow" ... that was over a week ago...

That really sucks about the menus! I really wanted to get started on all my stationary...

Wow...you ladies are so very thorough!

 

One question that we have been trying to find out - don't know if you ladies know about it or are experiencing the same issue...but through our travel agent & funjet vacations, children 12 and under stay free with 2 paid adults at the GBP...it seems that the special is only posted through the end of December of this year and it is not being applied to our booking in May of next year!  This is a problem!  That's a huge discount and I want to know if it will be an option come next year!!!

 

Have any of you heard of this??

I didnt hear about this but it is very interesting... but we are flying with AirTransat - dont know if this makes a difference or not?! We have 1 kid going but it would be interesting to find out. I would say when I booked it was in effect so I plan for this promotion to be offered to me or Ill be looking for alternative flights...I guess it helps sometimes to be rude.

 

I had something similar with AirTransat...they were not going to offer us anything as a group which made me VERY angry as we have 42 people. I emailed them and said what can you do for us as SunWing does this and they emailed me stuff they will do....interesting eh! haha

Hmm...good idea!  My TA finally got back to us today and said that she is not getting any response from the resort as to if it is being extended into next year...so she has NOW (we have been waiting for an answer for 2 weeks...so nice she finally decided to pursue another option) emailed funjet vacations to see if they are offering it in 2011.  I think you would have run into the same problem that we did because our dates of travel are not until next year; the promotion only covered travel dates through December of this year.  But I will be sure to keep you updated on what I find out...It may be an offer that other companies will extend as well.

When i asked Beverly abuot the free wedding package she said that it was too late, and I've had my wedding booked since the spring, I think April we had it booked and our deposit down.  And now she's telling you that its okay? Ridiculous. 

 

Ugh, I've decided to give up planning anything else.  I'm just going to go with the flow and not think about details.  I'm not going to stress out, I want to have a good time.  Hopefully I won't have to make another decision until I'm there.  Though there is a part of me thats super worried she's messed up the booking and I'm going to get down there and there is not going to be a wedding!  That would BLOW!!!!

      Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010.       Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations.
