Any Gran Bahia Principe Runaway Bay Brides out there?

Recommended Posts

Thank you JayKay , I will send him an email about his packages and prices. Even though my wedding is not until August, I hope I have not left choosing a photographer too late.

Is he quick returning emails?

lmarie,

Hello and welcome to the forum. I'm a fellow newfie :) currently living in Edmonton and am getting married at the GBP on August 8th, 2011.  I have Merrick Cousley booked as my photographer, he is super quick in getting back to you through email. His prices are great and his work looks awesome - I even looked him up on facebook and he has his profile open so that you can see some of his work.  I already have my deposit put down with him and he was willing do make a custom package just for us based on what we wanted.  Good Luck!! :)

Girls,
Thanks so much for the extra info about the menus and the pictures are soo helpful!! I finally have my passport invitations made and am getting them sent out this week, i'm getting excited now because all the big things are complete, i just need to make decisions on the little things now and your extra info helps relieve all the stress from that! :)

Anyone know where to get a cheap second wedding dress for TTD?  I don't want to trash my actual dress because we are having another reception when we return home.

I got mine off of dghate.com and some other girls have gotten it from lightinthebox.com

Here is the one I ordered, it was $140 with shipping included. You just send them your measurements and they make it custom for you.

Hey ladies, been emailing Beverly and she responded the same day. Confirmed everything, but I tried to bump the ceremony time up a bit so we aren't rushed for photos. Unfortunately there is another couple getting married right before us so we can't switch our time. I'm trying not to stress but I just hope nothing gets confused with two weddings. I have already asked for the Italian restaurant and the gazebo for ceremony and dance and Beverly confirmed it so fingers crossed. For the ladies that need to get long form birth certificates, I was told that these are the ones needed for renewing or applying for passports in the future so it might be easier just to get them now. Our photographer us Stephanie Koo. Her and her husband are a photography team from BC but willing to travel for destination weddings. They have been awesome to work with.

Hello Ladies!!!!  First and foremost, CONGRATS to recent brides and BEST WISHES to future brides.  I'm an 'old' BDW bride (June 2009) trying to help out a friend of mine who's considering having her wedding at the Gran Bahia in August.  Does anyone know how much the resort charges for day passes or if they have a separate wedding pass fee for guests that are not staying on the property?

Any feedback is appreciated.

I haven't booked the restaurant or anything like that.  I've only confirmed the package and the date.  I was under the impression you picked it when you got there, at least thats what beverly told me.  There is a bride getting married 2 hours after me, I hope she doesn't get first pick of everything, how mad would I be!1

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
