That's Great!! I have the Dolce booked and I think I prefer the round tables best as well!!!

The dinner is roughly two hours, where apparently they only serve beer and wine...and it comes with 2 hours of the DJ afterwards for dancing, etc.  If one wants an open bar for the two hours after dinner, I believe they quoted me something like $23 per person for the 2 hours.  I kinda think charging on a per person basis is ridiculous, if all we are paying for is the bartender's time.  It should just be a straight rate.  That's just my rant and opinion though!

@Tram13 - Sounds like the frustrations are setting in with the planning process. To be honest with you...if you are using the Pisces, it is an outdoor venue, so don't bother spending the extra money on an open bar.  You can arrange for someone to go to the bar and pick up what you need...they will even give you cups, and mixed drinks. One of the couples that got married while there had their dad pick going back and forth with big jugs of drinks...LOL.  If you can meet with an arrange for one of the bartenders to help you out a day or 2 before your wedding...that's even better.  It's an all inclusive resort...what would be the point in spending extra money for an open bar when they are all over the resort?

Hope the tip helps!!

Thanks for the pointer Stay cee1.  From things that I have read here on the forum, I have already found out that we can ask for the wine, beer, soda, and juice to still be available for the 2 hours after dinner (as those are the drinks that they offer throughout dinner) and this should be free of charge.  I haven't decided if I'll ask for rum punch, or buy bottles for mixing on our own for the last two hours.  We've pretty much already decided that an open bar is not the route we plan on going.  I do understand that the open bar does offer premium liquors, which would otherwise be an extra cost (even at this all-inclusive resort) - but, I still think that paying per person rather than a straight rate for a bartender's time is ridiculous.  I have just found that any time you mention the word wedding, anyone and everyone will find a way to make you pay for it. Oh well...

So i'm looking at renewing my vows at the resort on our 2 year anniversary. We got married there last year and will be travelling back there in May next year. I've been trying to contact the wedding coordinator to see if we can lock down a certain time and day and i've heard nothing back. I've now emailed them twice over the past month and nothing. Can someone confirm the email addresses for me (the coordinator AND the assistant) and any tips you have for getting a timely reply? Thanks ladies, Krista

Hi Kristo!!!

I am just finishing up reading ALL the pages in this forum, and not too long ago I read your and your then fiance's (and now husband's) contributions to this forum.  Welcome back!

I don't think that the e-mails have changed, although, I am sure you can tell all ready that the response rates to our emails have remained the same over the years.

For the assistant wedding coordinator: assistantweddingplanner2bpjam@bahia-principe.com

For the wedding coordinator: weddingplanner2bpjam@bahia-principe.com

You could always email them both, and hopefully someone will get back to you!  Good luck getting your date!

I just want to add that if you get the Romance Extravaganza package it includes 2 hours of open bar after the dinner.  Not sure if that helps.

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
