Hi,

If you read through the forum, there are a few brides who have gotten married on the sandbars adjacent to the gazebo.  Apparently, it's not fine, soft sand - it's a bit rockier.  I haven't heard of anyone getting married on the actual beach...but a recent bride has said that even their main beach isn't the best.

I really hate that everyone get different answers and prices with this place. I booked rashel edwards for makeup and I double checked the day pass fee would be waved. They also told me if I have over 40 I had to book a private venue. I'm at 35 now. Bigger then inwas expecting so i figured i should rent the gazebo. And sooo far I have booked the gazebo for the reception dance so we could do the Chinese lanterns while there. Now I asked about a table being set up to bring my own booze down and they said no problem but there would be a 15 corking fee. Not a big deal but I will try to negotiate that more when I get there. The white chair covers I was told were free but I bought my own satin hot pink chair saches which cost 75 cents each! Instead of the 2.50 they charge for the rental of them.

We paid $250 for the gazebo but that didn't include a dj.  They will tell you it is $500 for the gazebo with dj.  Just tell them that you don't want the dj and that you have seen that other brides have gotten it for $250 without the dj.

Hello I am getting married on aug 16 at and have a couple questions. If a Canadian bride who recently got married at GBP could answer this for me that would great. Is a short form copy of birth certificate acceptable? The 1700 fee for pisces, is that additional to wedding pkg fee? Does this include dancing, open bar after dinner? So much info on this thread...:) thank you!!

Hey AlLo, They usually want the paper work and all the notarized documents couriered to them 3 months before the wedding date. I am sure you can change a lot of the stuff later on, but they still eat everything filled out to the best of your ability and sent to them.

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
