Any Gran Bahia Principe Runaway Bay Brides out there?

Recommended Posts

Hey JayKay and all others who so far have gotten married in 2012.

I got a response in regards to the additional cost of $250.  I was told that it is mandatory for all weddings for 2012.  This was a response from Chandlyn and she said that so far all brides have been paying this fee.  I'm confused cause I thought I heard you ladies paid $200?  Soo frustrating.

Less than three weeks.  Can't wait.

Yay! You must be so glad to finally have them huh? :)

I've viewed them all - beautiful...everything! You, your dress, the love of your family and friends. I teared up when I got to the photos of your MoH's speech. :)

If you have any more feedback on Merrick, let me know, otherwise I think we're going to book him!

Congrats again!!

Sarah

Beautiful!! I came across your post as we're seriously considering booking Merrick - and after viewing your and JayKay's pics, I think we're decided. I love his style and how he captures the emotions of every moment.

Question for you - where did you get your bridesmaid dresses?

Thanks!
Sarah

We payed $200 USD plus tax for the minister fees.  The only other things we payed for was for 3 extra people which was $60 and for bridesmaid bouquet and groomsman bout.  I don't know why it would be $250.

I am so glad to finally have them, especially after all my family and friends hounding me since we retuned from Jamaica!  I would definetly recommend Merrick, he was absolutely amazing to work with and his photos are amazing.  He truly did capture so much emotion and was so easy to work with.  We had a few suggestions for photos and he had a few and it worked great.  The only one thing I do regret is not getting sunset photos or more beach photos, after all thats why we go away to these fabulous destinations!  If I were to do it again I would move my ceremony ahead an hour (we were married at 4pm) to allow for more time for photos as we were a bit rushed to get photos before the sun went down.

Hi Sarah,

I got the bridesmaid dresses at RWandCo, not sure where you live, or if they have those everywhere but it turned out great because they didn't cost an arm and a leg and all the girls really liked them!! Merrick was amazing, you made a great choice going with him, we did a trash the dress with him the next day and those pictures turned out amazing as well!!

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
