Thanks for the info! We are going to pay the 2500

We had a "rehearsal dinner" of sorts - we didn't actually have a rehearsal, but I wanted our whole group to have 1 meal together besides the wedding, so we arranged for everyone to have dinner at the Grill the night before the wedding.  We had a group of 54, and I just emailed Public Relations 2 weeks before the wedding and requested it and they said no problem.  No one mentioned a fee, and we didn't have to pay anything for it.  They set us up at 3 large table, and they even gave us all champagne to celebrate with....

Their email is [email protected] and I was dealing with Andrea.  I originally tried booking it a few months prior, but they told me they can't confirm anything unless it is within 2 weeks.

Thank you, I am emailing now. I keep getting conflicting information. We have a party of 30 and just wanted a couple tables together for a rehearsal dinner.. Nothing fancy. I just wanted a meal together like you. I was told that a party that size couldn't be accommodating because some of the restaurants are closed and we already have the staff at one restaurant for our reception after the wedding so to have two large parties in one week wouldnt be doable unless we rented the space for $2500... But that doesnt make sense because id they book lots of weddings wouldnt they have lots of receptions too already??

Hi Cupcake,

I guess it could be an issue if your wedding is during "off season" like in the summer months because they might decrease their staff when the resort isn't as busy?  I got married in April, so they were fully staffed and everything was opened....  And there was 1 wedding in the Grill during our dinner, but there were only 15 of them, so maybe that's why they could fit us in....  But I would definitely ask!

thanks for stepping in!!  I knew I remembered someone had done a "rehearsal dinner" and had emailed the main Bahia people. I should have remembered it was you because you had such a large group and I think you're so lucky that many people cared enough about you guys to make the trip!!

Thanks so much guys. Yea I was thinking because of the off season (our wedding is September 10th) it would be a little more difficult. Since there is only 30 of us I will try again closer to the wedding and just try to get some tables together for all of us to eat together.

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
