I agree, it's double charging.  What I can't believe is the Dolce Vita holds 180 people and they want me to shut down the restaurant for my 41 guests??  That's ridiculous.  Set me and my guests up at the buffet then!

CdnBrideJoanne - I don't think that you have to pay to close out a restaurant until you reach over 50 guests.  I think that's the lowest figure I've seen!  And, it seems that even at that, to close out some venues, they want you to have at least 45 guests.  At 4 guests, you're still under that!

Yes, the extra prices are annoying. I make myself feel better about them when I think about how much I would be spending if I decided to have a wedding, just as nice, at home. 5 grand in Jamaica vs. 40 grand at home for something equivalent :)

This is what Vinnette sent me when I had 39 guests...  And now I'm at 41...

Thank you for your correspondence, as per your request  please see the attached set Wedding menus. please advise if we should reserve the Dolce Vita  Restaurant privately or semi privately for you as the maximum that we do accommodate in a semi private setting is 40 persons.
Thank you for not hesitating in contacting us should you require any additional assistance.

How does it work at this resort?

Do we have to pick one of those options for our guests or do they get to choose from 3 options at the dinner?

We're using the Picsis so I think we get to pick from either of those menues

Hi Ladies,

Sorry to bother by re-posting this question again (of course the resort just never seems to reply) - does anyone have a copy of the 2014 wedding packages they can share that includes pricing?  Specifically the Unforgettable and the Romance Extravaganza?

Thanks so much!

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
