Any Gran Bahia Principe Runaway Bay Brides out there?

Recommended Posts

Hey everyone! My wedding is booked for march 3rd, 2014 at GBP and can't believe how fast time is flying by already, I need to start planning! I am looking at the wedding packages available and was wondering if anyone knows about the romance extravaganza... It says it includes a sit down reception dinner which I'm assuming is in one of the restaurants. So is that where the open bar after the reception is as well or do they move it somewhere else? And is a dj included or is that an extra fee? I'm hoping to get in contact with the coordinator at some point soon to clarify some things, i have so many questions! lol but if anyone knows anything about this please let me know! Thanks!

My mom actually called to speak with Someone a couple weeks ago. If you have Over 50 guests who HAVE to pay for a private dinner and the Piscis is cheaper than the private dinner at one of the restaurants. So it was an easy decision.

211 more days.....

I feel like a kid on a long car drive, "are we there yet? Are we there yet".

As far as  Piscis is concerned........ do you have your dinner there to?  I'm liking the idea of this location.  I understand that you pay 1700.00 for this location and that it includes a DJ and open bar..  Do you only get the bar for 2 hrs though as per the romance extravaganza package?   If anyone has any info on this it would be much appreciated.

HELLO BRIDES AND BRIDES TO BE!!! I just finished reading ALL 483 PAGES. All I have to say is WOW!! this forum is amazing! Thank you to everyone for posting all this information. It's been a ton of help. I've copied everything that's pertinent to our upcoming wedding. I have a whole book printed off now! :D I can't remember everyone's names but JAYKAY & BUSYBEE and everyone - OOT bags, decorations, flowers, makeup, cement spray, food, tipping, towels, ceremony scripts...this site has it all. I do recommend that everyone takes the time to read through all the pages. Your questions will or should be answered! It takes some time and my fiancé has been lonely but it's worth it! Hehe My only question now is ANYONE GOING TO BE AT GRAND BAHIA MARCH 15-29?!?!?

This is a picture of the set up we had for our dinner at the grill.  We were all on one long table, which was fine because we had a small group.  They had asked if we wanted to have a few smaller tables, but we chose the one large one.  I'm sure they can accommodate what you are looking for in terms of tables ect.  There was a small table behind us for our cake, and there was no one even close to us.  All the other people were on the opposite side of the place so it felt pretty private.

I think if you bring your own you could change the table clothes.  I wasn't to particular and just went with whatever they had, including the ugly yellow menus.  If I would have known they made them yellow I would have asked for a different color.

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
