Question for everyone....  Who is walking you down the aisle?

My Dad passed away 10 years ago...  Do I have my Mother walk me down the aisle or do I walk it myself?  I have also considered having my fiance meet me at the start of the aisle and we walk the remainder together.  This is a second wedding for the both of us so we aren't too concerned about doing things 'traditionally'.  Thoughts??

My brother is 8 years younger then I,  but he's walking me down the aisle. He and I don't have a relationship with our birth father. My step father is the best man (he's how I met my fiance.) and I told my brother he'd be walking me down the aisle many many years ago. Hahaha.Needless to say, we're close, despite our age difference.

Hi! Anyone knows what type of decorations is included in the different packages?

The ribbon decorated on the gazebo is it included or we have to pay extra? Or bring our own?

And what are included for the chairs? Do we have to pay for the sasches?

Thanks!

The decorations don't really vary between packages from what I saw.  They put up the ribbons on the gazebo (no charge), they have white slip covers on the chairs (no charge).  They will provide chair sashes at a charge of $3 per chair or you can bring your own.  I got mine online for about 55 cents/sash.   Depending on the package you are also provided with a floral centerpiece.

I am having my mom walk me down the aisle.  My stepdad put up a fuss about wanting to do it, too.  But, my mom has been there my whole life, and I don't have much of a relationship at all with my biological father - as a matter of fact, he still hasn't even acknowledged my engagement or the fact that I've sent him a save the date.  As a compromise to not hurt my stepdad's feelings...he gets to do a welcome to the family speech.

Thank you all very much for your input.  I'm pretty sure I'll ask my Mom to do it.  I'm sure if I didn't ask her to walk me down the aisle then I would regret it later on.

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
