Recommended Posts

Have any past brides got married the end of October? I was booked for May 19, 2014 which is a Monday. Half the wedding party lives in Canada the other half the uk. Well the flights from Manchester came out and the only fly out Mondays! I tried to change my date to later in the week but all booked :( So I'm trying for end of October, wish me luck ladies!

too funny!  i wanted to stay away from standard nautical or beach colors :)

interesting that you're bringing yours from home.  are they real flowers?  how will you keep them fresh?  i'd like to do the same, just not sure how to go about it...

I can't actually give you a reference number as Chandlyn showed me the book and then asked what my wedding colours were and suggested some orchids and this is what they brought me.  Honestly I would just trust them.  I don't think the pictures in the catalouge do any justice to what the flower shop can really do.

thanks for clarifying.  makes me nervous to not know my flowers ahead of time and to wait until i get there to browse the catalogue :)  but, i'll take your word for it.  thanks!

Soontobewalsh - did you say you booked Chris Lee? Because so did I, and we are getting married same day!

Yes I did book Chris Lee.  I had booked him in April and I saw that you had also booked him as well so I e-mailed them after reading that to double check and they told me that I still have Chris Lee booked.  My wedding isn't until 4pm, and I told them that I didn't want the 'getting ready photos' before the wedding so I am assuming he is just booked back to back.

That's what I thought too, the Dolce Vita has a much better lay out for a reception but the menu of options they sent me did not impress me, but I guess I'd rather have a nice venue.  Do you know how they set up things for speeches? first dance? Being semi-private....not sure how they do all that stuff

No they are fake! They are called real touch flowers and my friend got one and it looks amazing! You would never know the difference.

That's what I thought as well. Dolce sounded nicer but we ain't down with that menu! Lol so I went with the grill. I just want then to arrange tables different then what I heard. Will they change the tableclothes? I'm doing my first dance and cake down at gazebo. Before diner we are all meeting for cocktails. After diner we are doing sky lanterns then we are gonna party like rockstars!

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
