Any Gran Bahia Principe Runaway Bay Brides out there?

The chairs are brassy coloured framed with blue patterned material cushions (not very pretty) but the hotel supplies what chair covers & you can either take your own chair sashes or buy them at the resort for $1.50 per sash.[/quote That should say white chair covers!!! Lol

Does the hotel include the chair covers for free? They are listed in the prices as $5 per chair cover!

But I saw on different picture that they seems to have golden nice chairs?

Apparently the wooden white or golden ones I've seen in pictures or extra $$$. So you're either getting the banquet chairs with the white chair covers for free. Or you can pay to add the colour sash (or bring your own) or you can pay for the "upgraded chairs". I'm not sure how much the ungraded chairs are.

Well I didn't have to pay but maybe it depends on the wedding package you pay for! I took my own chair sashes otherwise I would have had to pay for them.

Hey!!!
I am so excited to be getting married at the GBP next apr 2014!!!!!!! :)
I've got the gazebo for my wedding and I have seen amazing photos and heard great things about it!!

I am just trying to piece all the costs together!! I am thinking we will probably have about 30 ish people at our wedding!!

Is anyone on here an already married at GBP bride?? I am just curious how much in total you spent on your wedding ( actual costs at the resort - and did you get any of the private receptions etc and pay for hair/ photography )

I REALLY want to bring my photographer from back home - but she charges travel/stay for her and her assistant, and then a $560 charge, and then the resort charges that $800 fee!!! So it would be over $5000 for my own photographer!!

I've seen posts about Chris Lee??? Is he at the resort still?? If i HAVE to go with someone from the resort, I'd at least like to know who to ask for :)

I am rying to keep costs down, but want a semi private reception, and a dance :) And maybe steel drums for the ceremony!!

Thanks!!!!!!!!

Hey Ladies!!

I am getting married here at the GBP in apr 2014!! :)

So excited!!!!

I am wondering if there are any recent - already married brides on here that had their wedding at the GBP!!

What was your overall cost for your wedding?? Not including flight/stay, just cost of ceremony/reception/photos/flowers etc!!

What photographer did you use?? I read good things about Chris Lee - one of the photographers there?? I was hoping to take my photographer from home, but she charges the cost of flight/stay for her and an assistant, and $560 charge, and then the resort is $800 fee - which means her cost is over $5000 - i LOVE her photos, but not sure if i can afford that price.

What did you do for music etc? I really love the sound of the steel drum band!! :)
Thanks!!

The food at the grill was great, but not the most cozy or romantic place.  The Dolce Vita food is ok, but the setting is romantic and is by the water.  It's going to be a hard decision for me too as I liked the setting of the italian much more.......when I was there, there was a wedding group.  They had them kinda secluded away from the general crowd which was nice too.

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
