I'm getting married next May. What was the weather like and how windy is it during the day (ceremony) and eve (during dinner)? Is it chilly with the wind? Should I wear my hair up? Should guests bring a light sweater?

Any insight into that would be great!

Hi HopeToBe,

The weather was beautiful in May. I think we only had a few sprinkles of rain one day. It seemed to cloud over in the distance but never affected the weather at the resort.

The weather on our wedding day was gorgeous. It was a bit windy but nothing out of the ordinary for being close to the water (Nothing close to hurricane winds or anything). I certainly don't remember it being an issue but when I look back at pictures I see my guests' hair was blowing around. There seemed to be a bit of a breeze the whole time we were there. No, it is definitely not chilly with the wind. If anything it will feel good with the hot sun. Your guests shouldn't have to worry about bringing a light sweater at all.

I would recommend wearing your hair up. I didn't want to constantly be pushing it out of my face. It would also be a bit cooler since the sun tends to be so hot!

Rashel Edwards quoted me 70 for hair and 70 for make up and 100 for travel.  I'm not getting married until Jan 2014 and she cautioned me to book quickly since she's already booking into 2014. If you're getting married in March you may want to check with her ASAP to see if she's available on your date.
Hi Do you have the email address for Rashel Edwards pls? Thanks so much!

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
