Hi Everyone!

This thread has brought me so much piece of mind, you have no idea!  I spoke with my TA for the first time last week, and she recommended this resort right off the bat...and my FI and I weren't sure if she was just trying to sell the place, or if it really was a good resort for what we want.  From what I've read, it sounds like it'll fit the bill!

I've been to two other destination weddings (one in Cuba and one in Mexico)...and I am loving the idea of having the ceremony in the gazebo (great way to avoid beach gwakers, I'm sure!) and am really interested in renting out the Picses to make our reception even more private.

I was wondering if anyone had pictures of the wedding bouquets and boutonnieres that the resort supplies?  I hear there is the basic bouquet and one that you can upgrade to?  Are they nice?  I'm kind of debating buying my own from etsy and bringing them with me...that way, they are exactly what I want, and can be a keep sake.  Plus, it looks like it would cost $40 (and up) extra for a bridesmaids bouquet and $22 (and up) extra for boutonnieres.  Seems a bit much to me, especially since I don't know if I will like them!!

Past brides who have rented the Pisces out...do you really have to pay per head for guests still on top of the $1700?!  I thought that it included 150 guests?  And are the chair ties included if you spend the money for the Pisces?

I am hoping to get married there some time in late November or early December...still waiting to hear back from my TA about package prices and hopefully a date will still be available!!!

About the flowers... I was sent by the WC at the resort a "book" (pdf) of all the availble bouqets. There was almost 150 different ones to choose from, and I think the first 40 or so could be included in your wedding package price. I'm paying extra as I knew exactly what I wanted, and to my surprise they had it!! It may be silly, but paying extra for the flowers I always wanted wasn't even a question in my mind.

Too bad we can't see what those choices are from afar!  But, I definitely see your point.  I just don't know if they will have what I want or not.  I am contemplating buying some silk ones that I like and then having them as keepsakes.  I really don't know if I should do that or just wait and hope for the best...

Hi Ladies, I am having the free bouquet for my wedding, one of the Tropical Bouquets., They look beautiful. It Seems to be alot of money to upgrade, to roses, orchids etc when it's just H2B & me on the day. Then on our return, I am having my flower of choice for Our party. Has any past brides had their room upgraded? Anyone getting married in May 2013? Thanks

Has anyone booked any catamaran trips from the GBP?  I get married at noon so I thought I would take my guests on a catamaran cruise for the afternoon, perhaps to go snorkeling.  So much for hair and makeup!

I have heard good things of Jamaican Watersports but they launch from Montego Bay and I don't want to shuttle my guests an hour there and an hour back.

Or, does anyone have any ideas of how to fill an afternoon between a lunch time wedding and dinner?!

MrsViolo - I have the pdf of the catalogue for the bridal bouquets available but it's too large and this forum won't let me upload it for you even though i've zipped the file.  If you send me your email address I can forward it to you. Sarah

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
