Any Gran Bahia Principe Runaway Bay Brides out there?

Recommended Posts

I am getting married April 20 2014. Any others getting married that week? After reading this forum I think I'm going with free package and adding upgrades. I think I'll do gazebo wedding. And have the semi private diner at dolce. Still undecided about what to after.

What I tell my clients is I'm responsible for the travel aspect of the wedding and handling any question your friends and family might have aswell as coordinating any special needs/ requests with the hotel or airline. When it comes to the wedding planning at the resort, that is best handled directly with the resort wedding coordinator. If you have a quote that your are happy with I'd say lock it in :)

Hope I've helped!

Yes, that makes sense. Thank you

I forgot to mention the vendors fee to Dean so he was held at the gate in the morning till it was paid, but my father luckily paid it for me, which i think is ridiculous amount to bring someone onto the resort, but so worth it in the end so we sucked it up, but i'm sure you could work something out with him if you mention it before,i'll add pictures once i get them all back. And his pricing was not my any means cheap but very reasonable for a fabulous photographer and an awesome assistant as well. Just remember you cant go back to that day and re take pictures so i didn't want to regret not getting someone amazing to capture it all!

Do you know what there packages are like and what the price includes?

I'm going to use this photographer for my wedding in 9 weeks time so i'll post the pictures when I get them so hopefully a lot of other brides will be able to put their minds to rest.  I've looked through their pictures on the website and I'm quite happy they will do a good job.  I'm only have the ceremony photographed so the way I see it, being in the location it is, how can there ever be "bad" photos!!

I do have a date at the Riu Ocho Rios but I am considering doing an offsite wedding and staying at the GBP.  Problem is, the GBP doesn't have any wedding times available the week we're going.

For all the past GBP brides... what was the beach like there? Was it lots of pebbles? Were there enough loungers with shade? From the pics I've seen, it doesn't look like that great of a beach.

The beach is man made.  Its pretty rocky and not the best beach.  There were always lots of loungers and always some with shade.  The beach overall isnt very nice.

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
