It seems like there are alot of weddings on a daily basis. Now that I've booked, im kind of nervous it wont feel special, knowing its like a production line of weddings.

Has anyone had their wedding at noon? Thats when ours is booked;  It seems soo early, but she said that's all that's available.

What do you possibly do between then and the reception, without ruining your clothes/hair lol?

Has anyone done a poolside reception after the dinner? What is that like? What did it cost?

How much time do you have at the gazebo after the wedding ceremony?

How big are the restaurants? Since there's several weddings per day, how do they arrange dinners? are several wedding parties there at once, in each restaurant?

Sarah, I am in the same boat and have to do a 12:00 wedding on Nov 29/13.  Did any brides suggest what to do between the wedding and dinner?  Makes for a VERY long day!

Hey..I ran into that problem when I was originally booking...but FI and I decided to stay flexible and move our dates around, keeping our family and friends up to date on the changes and was able to get our 2nd choice in dates with an evening ceremony.   Just consider it Siesta Time...perhaps you can work that in to your events....the thing we have to remember is that it is hot hot hot in Jamaica, and the ability to rest and recoup before dinner I'm sure will work out just fine. I don't think anyone would expect you to keep them entertained all day, especially in the heat. ....here's another plus!!  You can do 2 dresses!!!!!!smile159.gif

Hi Amber :)

I'm getting married in October at 1pm, so we are in the exact same situation as you :)  I'm trying to get through all these posts, trying to piece everything together from all these wonderful suggestions and ideas :)

I've been following Arrecife Bahia Principe Jamaica on facebook https://www.facebook.com/#!/arrecife.jamaica (the resort's photographers). They've been posting some not too shabby pictures of recent (i think) weddings.

Just wanted to share...

I'm going to use this photographer for my wedding in 9 weeks time so i'll post the pictures when I get them so hopefully a lot of other brides will be able to put their minds to rest.  I've looked through their pictures on the website and I'm quite happy they will do a good job.  I'm only have the ceremony photographed so the way I see it, being in the location it is, how can there ever be "bad" photos!!

I just booked her anyway and hopefully there will be no fee!

Thanks for checking for me!

Any suggestions on what to do between a 12:00 wedding and the dinner??  That's the only time slot available...  Shouldn't have listened to my TA.  She told me to wait to book.  She even wanted me to wait until April but I was getting nervous. So now I don't know what to do between the service and dinner.

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
