OMG what's the date you're getting married? I'm getting married on May 1...  I too was thinking of using the resort photographer.  We were thinking of asking a friend (who takes pictures as a hobby) do our pictures but we're not sure if he's coming... so we'll have to resort to plan B aka resort photographer. I'm going to send an email to Chadlyn asking her for advise...

Good question re: tip for Chandlyn...I didn't even think about that...Shame...

What colours are you having? Are you bringing lots of favours and decor with you? I am still deciding on the wedding favours. Once I confirm the total number of guests....I will have a better idea.

I'm sure it'll be fine....:)  I can't wait...I'm so excited... We went to get the guys outfits organized last night... so I feel like we're slowly checking things off our list...lol

I'm going with a deep coral...

Not bringing too much with me...I'm keeping it as simple as possible... I am however am going to do a Welcome Bag... :)

Do you find alot of your guest are booking?  Its driving me crazy cause the majority of our guest still have to book... They're acting like typical West Indians...they're going to wait until the last minute to book then when they have to pay more than we orginally quoted...they would be cursing...lol... Ah well the joys...

I took a gift down for Chandlyn. she really is wonderful to work with. as JayKay said, they concentrate on the weddings that are the closest. believe me when I say you will get the full attention when your wedding date gets closer. and yes, it is Jamaica. everything down there moves a lot slower. other girls have picked up Bath & Body Works gifts for both Chandlyn and Donnalee. we didn't really have any interaction with Donnalee until our wedding because she only came on board after our planning was pretty much complete. Donnalee is Chandlyn's assistant.

if you don't mind can you give me a kind of play to play as to what happened when you got there?  Did you have centerpieces?  How many guest did you have?  How was the menu? Where did you have your reception?

Hi there. Your wedding sounds like it turned out great. Congrats.....I have a question regarding the photographer. Did you have to pay the fee to the resort? Your pictures are beautiful
Sounds like you had a wonderful wedding!!! I was wondering if your brought any decorations with you? For the wedding or thee reception? I'm pretty laid back as we'll about our wedding so the less I need to bring with me the better. By the way the pictures are beautiful!

Not sure who you were asking but...We didn't bring any decorations for our wedding except chair ties.  I purchased mine for a way cheaper price then renting them from the resort.  Other then that everything was provided by the resort.  I didn't want to have to worry about centerpeices ect.

Koolaide, I am getting married April 15th! will be at the resort in less than three months now, so exciting.

The hotel photographer is reasonably priced as well as the video if you wanted. I also have a friend who is a good photographer and she will be taking pics of the getting ready, during the reception and doing my trash the dress th next day. Which will cut down on costs. Im bringing things down with me for the centrepeices, vases and votive holders I am making myself super light weight, and my girls are all bringing a vase with them. My favors too, I am giving them to my guests before we go at our meet and greet for the trip. we are doing bubba kegs for everyone and tucking a itinerary for the bridal party and for tthe guests for the big day so everyone knows what is going on. Not too many questions for when we get down there.

I was thinking of doing a bath and body works thing for the wedding planners. thought it would be a good gift as they probably dont have that sort of thing down there. Chadylnn has been great so far, getting back to me right away when I send an email. I am so excited to get going and be married.

Thanks for all the help ladies.

Just a side note....the resort photographer gets in ur face big time... We watched a couple weddings before ours then during our meeting we asked not to use him... We broguht our photog down and told them it was a family member and he was also a guest for the week so we disnt have to pay and fee. Also went off resort with kevin morrison , the taxi driver... Amazing time, they know exactly where to take u!

Pask454....CONGRATULATIONS.. :o) pleased to hear you had an amazing time. Cant wait to read your review.  I'd be completely lost without all the ladies on here offering their experiences for us all to read.  Regarding the resort photographer, you say he gets right in your face...what do you mean by this please?  We are using the resort photographer so I'd like to know what to expect & if I need to be prepared to tell him to back at off....lol....

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
