Hi Ladies,

I'm planning my wedding for May 2014, how far in advance were you able to secure your wedding date? I have e-mailed the co-ordinator and was able to get a quick response with information however once I asked about securing the date its been over a month and countless emails with no response.

I too am planning my reception at the Piscis and would love to hear from anyone else who has done the same!

Hey...I am working with chandlyn and Donnalee. I am also using destinationweddings.com for my Travel, save the dates, website, etc. I am not super impressed with a bunch of email threads so I think I will be sending a list of requirements and questions to Chandlyn and ask for a conference call to be set up. I am very OCD and want things to go as planned....or at least agreed to.

OMG...My fiance and I are working with Destination Weddings and with Chadlyn as well... I remember initally that it did take Chadlyn a while to respond but when she did she answered all of my questions.  Don't worry Chadlyn will get in touch with you...its fine... Don't stress :)

But it is a good idea to have a list of questions for her...

How many guest are you expecting?

Let me know if you have any other questions...I would be happy to answer...

I'm getting married Jan 2014 and they wouldn't let me book until 2013. Apparently my date and time is confirmed now. I booked early since I really wanted a specific date and time.

Hey ladies!! I'm sure happy I found this website to all of you getting married at the GB as well. My fiancé and myself are getting married November 26, 2013 at 1pm at the gazebo. We thought we had everything under control until coming across this forum and started to slightly panic. We thought these were items we could have dealt with once at the resort. So I do have a couple questions for now. I'm sure there will be more. We would like the steel drum band to play during the ceremony and after while the guests are having champagne. Should we look into booking them now? Just to be safe Also as per dinner reservations at one of the restaurants. What are our options? How much will this cost and is it per person? Does this include drinks?? After dinner we would like to rent out the gazebo with a dj and bartender. Does anyone know the cots of this or if its already spoken for this night? As well do you have to pay per guest who plan on having beverages on the beach. Also anyone who has gotten married at 1pm. What did you do after the reception before dinner? Thanks!!

I was able to book my date by March last year...it was pretty quick.  Who are you working with on the resort? Also, are you working with a travel agent?

Thanks Congratulations to you aswell!

I've been emailing back and forth with Chandlyn however I've now not heard back from here since the end of November. I wish she'd just give me a month that I can confirm my date.

I am a travel agent so I'm doing most of the arrangement however I'm having a friend/coworker handle the actually money and booking of guests, figure I have enough to do with planning lol

I see you are hoping to have your reception at the Piscis, hopefully you can give some advice in the future as there doesn't seem to be a whole lot of pictures or info for a reception there

wow. Small world!!!! Well we are thinking anywhere from 25 to 50 will show. People are really starting to book this week so I am happy. I do not want to get wedding favours and decorations until I know the final numbers. So much still to do....how is your experience with destination weddings so far?

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
