Any Gran Bahia Principe Runaway Bay Brides out there?

Thanks JayKay!  Futurekeese, I was thinking the same thing, but I would be to scared that anything would go "missing" or never make it there, or get  misplaced. I dont know who you are flying with but my travel agent told me about something called kilo-flex, in which you purchase weight before you leave, so you arent paying through the nose when you get to the airport. You would just have to pre pack all of your stuff and see how much all of it weighs. Hope this helps!

We did our rehersal dinner at the Don Pablo and it was a terrible experience!!!  The service for our large group was sooo slow, it took about 4 hours to finish!  We did The Grill for our welcome dinner and it didn't go too badly.  They had to split the large group up into 3 tables but we were all beside each other and service (and the food) was great!

The buffet might be an idea as you can all sit together off to the side, and you can get food whenever you want.

I cant decide between Don Pablo, Dolce Vita, or The Grill, or are there any other  options? I know I want to do Mikado with my bridal party the evening before the wedding, so that one is out.

Thanks ladies

I didn't ship anything down, just brought an extra suitcase full of wedding stuff!  I also used friends and family members suitcases that were travelling light.  Most people don't mind if they are under the weight allowance and will toss some of your stuff in their bag.  That way you know it's all coming down with you.  I think it only cost us $20 extra to check another suitcase.

I know they can do up to four weddings a day. I dont think they can do two weddings at a time, as the beach area is to the right o the gazebo and the speaker systems would impede on one another. I couldnt see them doing that. Good question, Im going to email them about that one.

No they don't do more than one wedding at a time.  Both wedding coordinators are there to help you during your ceremony, so there's no way there could be another wedding going on at the same time.

I wnet there with West Jest. They told me that they don't have a cloth rack in those type of planes. However we were 6 brides on that plane and the flight attendant dedicated one storage shelf just for dresses, so she lined them all together, one on top each other and it was totally fine

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
