Everything went perfect...it was so beautiful at the gazebo...Chandlyn and Donnalee are the sweetest and so wonderful. I had my make up and hair done by the spa...I went in with no pictures and they worked their magic! I was so soooo happy with the end result!! We hired the steel drum band and had them play while I walked down...it was so awesome! We had the reception dinner at The Grill..I was able to customize my own menu which was delicious and great! After dinner we all just hung out at the lobby bar then off to the disco..I didn't rent the gazebo and glad I didn't...far away from washrooms and bar..we all had a blast dancing the night away at the disco:) We hired Merrick Cousley for our photographer and he is AMAZING!!!! I can't wait to see the pictures...I highly recommend him!! Free pictures from the resort are just ok..I will post some below. Any questions feel free to ask...thought I would keep this review short and sweet:) Don't stress the small stuff..relax and enjoy every moment:)

Hi Natalie-congrats on your recent nuptials!! Great photos! I am considering this hotel for July 2013. Do you know what the beach ceremony site is like? Also I am reading mixed reviews on the beach in general-is it decent?? We'd also like to have dinner after the ceremony on the beach - do you know if that is a possibility at GBP? Thanks so much, Sarah!

They do have dinner bars at the snack bar.  It right near the ocean but isnt on the beach, if that clarifys that.  The beach is man made and pretty rocky.  If you are hoping for fine white sand its not like that at all.  More like a hard sand if that makes any sense.  The gazebo is pretty private.  That being said there were people who were sitting in their beach chairs along the walk way to the gazebo, but they were far enough away that it didnt bother me.  There were some people standing by the walls by the pool watching but once again they are really far away.  Its more private then most places I have seen.

The one thing that seems good is that the wedding site (gazebo OR beach) seems to be fairly private, compared to some other resorts, where there are people hangin around in their bathing suits!

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
