we used him too for our wedding last October and couldn't be happier. he's wonderful to work with and just an overall nice person. I would recommend him to anyone that asks without any hesitation whatsoever. if you do chose him, you won't regret it.

Question for you - where did you get your bridesmaid dresses?

Thanks!

well ladies I think my time here is done now. we've been married 4 months already and the last of the girls that started on this site with me is married and I've seen the pictures, which is what I was waiting for lol  even though we lived together for almost 10 years before we got married, and we're old, there is something fun about being married at last and I still say without hesitation that I married the love of my life in Jamaica last October. good luck to all of you that are still planning your wedding. one piece of advice I can pass on - don't sweat it. it will all turn out in the end and you will get the beautiful wedding that you want. just remember that the main reason you're going to Jamaica in the first place is to get away from the stress and cost of planning a wedding at home as well as to be on a beautiful beach in a beautiful caribbean country. and I can guarantee that you'll get that at GBPJ. Chandlyn wouldn't have it any other way! to the other newlyweds, enjoy!! from a second time arounder, don't ever take your marriage for granted. love your husband always and love him well. it does come back to you!

Oh cool! I actually stopped into RW & Co. a few weeks ago asking about their 2012 bridesmaid line... and the sales lady had NO idea what I was talking about. I haven't been back since but with all the spring/summer dresses coming out now, I'll take a look again. (I'm in Toronto :))

Thanks for your help and feedback!

I got the bridesmaid dresses at RWandCo, not sure where you live, or if they have those everywhere but it turned out great because they didn't cost an arm and a leg and all the girls really liked them!! Merrick was amazing, you made a great choice going with him, we did a trash the dress with him the next day and those pictures turned out amazing as well!!

Helpful, thank you! We too have planned on a 4pm ceremony, however I just checked a number of sites for the sunset time on Dec 3/12, and I'm getting a range from 5:22-5:34pm. That's not much time to get in all the photos I know I'm going to want. :)

I like the idea of 3pm too - extra time for photos, any 'island time' delays, and maybe a few private minutes with my groom between the ceremony and dinner. Thank you again!!

Thank you!

Sad to see you leave this site!  You were such a help with the planning of my wedding and I'm sure to many others on here!  Thanks for the words of wisdom!

I would say definetly try to do 3pm.  It just felt so rushed after the ceremony to take the pics and then before we knew it the sun had set and we were off to supper.  It would have been nice to have a few minutes with my husband by ourselves and just catch our breath, as everything goes so incredibly fast that day!

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
