Just a question:  Is a song that is 3:25 in length going to be long enough for my MOH and myself to walk down the aisle for the gazebo?  Or should I pick two songs?

And the temperatures here have been so nice!  Today was 13 degrees!!  I guess 30 is still better then 13, but it could be much worse!

Hi GBP2012,

Did you get any confirmation from Roan and did you put a deposit down? After booking him for our wedding he just gave me details on how to send the money; no contract, no confirmation.

We have just booked Roan as well and he has been fabulous! We are getting married in March and I have procrastinated HUGE! He also has videography packages as well which is nice. You do not have to hire a different photographer and a videographer!

Hi CdnBeatPrincess,

I heard back from Donnalee today (I cc her when I emailed Chandlyn, can't believe it took less then 12 hrs for a reply) and her response to my question about a fee for using Rashel for my hair and makeup was....If Rashel will only be doing your hair and make-up and not stay for the ceremony, there will be no additional fee. However, if she will be staying until the ceremony, you will be required to purchase the wedding pass for her.  Now when she says wedding pass I am assuming the $20 for an additional person but I think I will verify that to make sure.

I'll let you know if I get anymore info, hope this helps :)

Hi Belledame,

I was actually going to post a question on here regarding Roan and his emails. I received an email from him that said in order to confirm and hold the date a 25-40% deposit would need to be sent. I was going to send him the very minimal money transfer but it makes me a little nervous. Have you done anything to secure him for your wedding date?

Hi Jodiann,

Did you already send a deposit to Roan?

He has asked for a 25-40% in order to secure our wedding date. It makes me a little nervous sending him money so I just wanted to see if any other brides have yet and if you received any confirmation or paperwork after you gave him a deposit.

If you could let me know that would be wonderful.

Thanks!

He is out of Negril (but does travel throughout Jamaica) and is an "up and coming" photographer so his prices are pretty decent compared to the others. His website is roanphotography.com  So far he has been great through email and when requesting information on prices and everything else. I have high hopes for our day =)

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
